I prefer dancing to decently exciting music. I mostly play the instrumentals and the fast songs, and those are both usually Konami originals. Heck, in Stepmania I split my songs between licensed and original just so I can avoid getting the former in my random selections. I find this interesting because it seems the games are marketed based on their licensed songs...

Er, please remember that "Bemani Crossovers", technically, are also Konami Originals. Take note that in DDR, KO's are the ones that are made specifically for DDR.

I was including Bemani Crossovers in my original statement, I just didn't know the difference between the two well enough to make that clear. Sorry! riiight.gif

Just 'cause the Extreme and SuperNOVA licenses are mostly crap doesn't mean licenses suck. It's just that the well-known licenses suck, 'cause they're mostly bad remixes of well-known rock, pop, and rap songs.

That's the case in Extreme AC, when it was bombarded by cruddy remixes of Queen songs. disturb.gif

Anyway, DDR SN AC got some of the best DDR Originals ever released in DDR history. Heck, refer to PEACE(^^)v, HoneyO---->Punch, and Flowers.

KOs are definitely why I even play DDR. They're usually the songs that have the best beat. i.e. Afronova, Tsugaru, Sakura, Matsuri Japan, etc. Trim has to have the best beat of all of them. E15.gif

Interesting, you just named a good chunk of the songs in the World Tour Oni Course.

My favorite KOs would be B4U and 1998. For some reason B4U is the song I associate the most with DDR.

I definitely prefer KOs, especially since the licenses in recent home versions have (IMO) mostly sucked.

EX, I'll have to agree. EX2 was meh-ish (Get Busy, Crazy In Love, & Spin Spin Sugar was awful), but still had good songs (Pump Up The Volume & Wonderful Night were good). SN IMO had some of the best licenses (Dance Dance, Do You Want To, Let's Dance, Video Killed The Radio Star, L.E.F), but still had terrible songs (Since U Been Gone, Come Clean, Robogirl....). But I'd perfer KOs anyday. Heck, I've got tons of KOs on my MP3.

I really wished they'd have put another Ferry Corsten song in rather than L.E.F., but oh well. Or maybe another cosmic gate song other than over the rainbow...

But I still like KO's. B4U and Dynamite Rave are my favorites.

*Surprised crunchwrap didn't get the joke*

I'm assuming that you're referring to the three songs on my previous post: PEACE(^^)v, Flowers, and HoneyO-->Punch.

Anyway, DDR Originals have been improving since a handful members of the DDR Community constantly pointed out that pre-SN DDR Originals have mostly been no one else but Naoki.

Anyways my fave DDR Originals by AC/CS mix they debuted in:

2nd: Brilliant 2U
3rd: Afronova, Dynamite Rave, End of the Century, Silent Hill
4th: B4U, My Summer Love, Orion.78 ~ameuro mix, Burnin' the Floor
5th: Ecstasy, Healing Vision, Dynamite Rave ~Long, B4U Glorious Style
MAX: true..., Firefly, MAX300
MAX2: Sexy Planet (from Nonstop Megamix), Kakumei, Break Down!, MAXX Unlimited
EXTREME: Love<3Shine, TEARS, CRASH!, The Legend of MAX
SN: PEACE(^^)v, HoneyO-->Punch, Flowers
Solo: DROP OUT, Sexy Planet, CSFIL

CS: Midnite Blaze, Trip Machine ~luv mix, HVAM, Look to the Sky, Drop the Bomb
