That looks great. Keep us posted. I have couple of sims on my arcade machine, but there just not that great. This looks like it has real promise. I haven't finished reading through the site, but if you can include editing your own songs and the abillity to use the guitar heroes controller you will be the golden child.
Best of luck with this project

Does the guitar freaks the wail sensor work in you sim? In DTX mania they included in the wail sensor (guitar logo) but I could never get it to work in the sim. |

It's that time again. DigiBand v0.6.0pre is finally done. It can be downloaded at Digiband's website. Please take the time as usual to review, test, and break DigiBand.
Please let me know of ANY issues you have with DigiBand. E-mail or post them on the site forums prefered. Here is fine too.
Thanks everyone! |

Oh, btw thank you for the compliments on this, and as to retort to your concerns. DigiBand fully supports the Guitar Hero Controller as of .7alpha (Not released yet.) through a PS to USB converter. (It may already support it currently, however I don't know if the GH controller has pick up and pick down.) As for Song editing, .7alpha should have song syncing abilities; however, I will not go as far as to design an editor. DigiBand's website does have a download for a "Tools" package which includes "GDA Editor" that will allow you to create/edit sim files.
btw if I hadn't already said it before http://www.digiband.net/ is the new URL for DigiBand

I love you.
You aren't going to have support for songs on your site, are you? (In a "stepmania" kind of way) _________________

I'm now beginning to write up a contract for music now. I'm currently working on the Pre release for the final version, and it will be the same 'game' in the arcade and on the PC. So, soon, very soon you may see Digiband in a local arcade and still capable of playing sim files if the arcade owner feels to do so, and original content.
if you would like to express interest in aiding the creation of original content, let me know, I'll even take pre existing work if you can comply to 3 simple standards.
out side of that, go check out the beta, soon I'll update it with what I have so far for the prerelease. |

It's giving me an error about OpenAL32.dll when I try to start it.
Edit: I uninstalled and reinstalled, and it still doesn't work, but when I uninstalled it removed all my Stepmania stuff from All Programs in the Start menu. (It didn't uninstall the program; it just removed the shortcuts.) It also removed some other stuff (FL Studio is gone; I'm not sure what else was removed); you might want to look into that. _________________

I've reuploaded the installer with the corrections you stated, it should remove the right directory now, and should have the missing DLL's (Don't ask me why that always happens...) Please try it again. ;.; |
