HAHAHAHA LOL SUPERNOVA IS BETTER BECAUSE IT HAS 300 SONGS. Well How long has ITG been out 4-5 years? WELL THE SPEAKERS ARE WORSE THAN SUPERNOVA!!!! No you could have just been playing on a bad machine.
ITG is about 10x better than supernova.
Lets see here.
1. More on sync
2. Better cuts
3. Better pads
4. They actually send out revisions
5. You can save scores onto a usb drive and take screenshots
6. Funner mods
7. Its more challenging
8. A 10+ song doesnt have to be 300+ BPM
9. The stepcharts are way better
10. You can play custom songs
11. More choice of mods(speed mods and perspective mods are huge for me)
12. You can make edits and share them
13. In ddr every song is basically SDG able where as in ITG Some songs havent even been tri starred(99%)
14. There cheaper
15. AND finally Roxor actually listened to their fans while konami just ignored them
There and thats just off the top of my head. |
QFT
16)The songs in general were designed to be used in co-ordination with the game, unlike DDR where half the songs are just popular songs that Konami obtained liscensing from. _________________

I will never respect any of the opinions of someone whose main response to topics is "QFT."
ITG and DDR both have their positives and negatives. Personally, if I had started out playing ITG rather than DDR I probably would not have kept playing. ITG only held my interests due to it's difficulty. Most of the songs I enjoy don't have difficult stepcharts. And ITG had far too many songs by the same artist. Dax or whatever his name is sucked and should not have any songs, let alone two.
Personally, I'd much rather play Stepmania than either game, but until my Stepmania computer gets fixed, I'm stuck with ITG. DDR feels uncomfortably slow since I started playing Stepmania consistently. |

I think it's funny that you storm onto this forum just to cut me down, i've only used "QFT" ONCE. Don't sit here and pull this bullshit on me about how i obviously have no brain, not just that, but you make yourself look horribly stupid by blatently spitting in my face. TWICE. "Dax" is also not an artist on ITG, so please get your name's right and stop pointlessly insulting people, okay? thanks. _________________

I didn't storm onto this forum just to cut you down, I don't even know you. Maybe you thought I was someone else with a past vendetta or something? Only one sentence in that entire post referred to you, the rest of it was just discussion about the differences between ITG and DDR, mostly favoring neither. I don't know why you think I'm some kind of person who came onto the forum simply to target you.
Those would be two songs by Dax. They were indeed on ITG.
Sorry if I gave you the wrong impression, I wasn't even implying that you were someone who constantly said QFT, I've just seen it all over these forums as well as BMS. I also don't know what you mean by twice. Did I say something to you in another topic? |

OMG THAT PROVES YOU MUST KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT DANCE GAMES. I DON'T THINK ANYONE ELSE NOTICED THAT.
Songs don't make the game. Get that through your head. 5th mix was one of the best mixes, despite not having 300 songs. |
In most cases, I believe quanity is better than quality, although both are in SN which is why I find it amazing. I don't like anything old though. For example, my favorite game of all time is The House of the Dead 4, but I say to myself "this came out in 2005, so it's already 2 years old"! With SuperNOVA, I'm already saying to myself "fuck this shit, it's already a year old"! With the game DOA4, I still think it's a great game, but simply because it came out 2 years ago, it's "not that good" anymore. But, 2D fighters never get old because you can't make 2D graphics that much better, unlike 3D graphics. In DDRSN, the characters' clothes are starting to look kind of weird when they dance, almost "outdated" much like most of the PS2's games. Unfortunately, it looks like they recycled all of SN's characters into SuperNOVA without enhancing the graphics and added more characters into the game. I'm still very excited about SN2 though. Now me and my cousin don't have to fight about the "Character" option in SN. He always likes Emi, and I always like Jenny! Too bad Battle Without Honor or Humanity didn't make it into SN2 from the home version of SN in the U.S. |

I also would like to state that I think in the end I would have liked the song selection of ITG much more than DDR, as DDR is moving to dramatic sounding songs while ITG should be given due credit over the fact that they didn't have as much of a chance at acquiring licenses. They had not been around as long as DDR. Less Than Three was a step in the vein of Dancemania and a song I loved, and ITG could have eventually moved to have a very similar song selection to classic DDR.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and I just had to say this, even though no one will give a crap without a doubt.

Living by a "Oh, it's x old, so it sucks now" is just plain dumb. I personally hate elitists on EITHER end, but this isn't being elitist (much), it's just idiocy. I can guarantee $100 million that if ITG3 was released and you slapped "DDR" in the title, crunchwrap would orgasm all over the machine, just because it's the newest. _________________

I'll agree that DAX's songs do suck badly... lol. Thats not to say there aren't like 30+ songs on supernova that are utter garbage as well though.(Either from hearing them waaaay too many times or just sucking in general) |

hhahahaha this thread has the worst logic ever
I'm pretty sure itg is somewhat crappy compared to what it could be be, but ddr supernova is just ultimate failure.

This topic wasnt necessary, "quantity over quality" was the most idiotic thing Ive ever heard, and youre basically wrong.

That's basically the case with all the games I'm into, except for Street Fighter III: Third Strike - just 19 characters, but amazing quality for a 2D fighter. Oh, and like I said before, SN delivers both quantity and quality. I just don't get how you guys can call SuperNOVA trash! If that's trash, then I don't know what arcade game IS good. |

DDR Extreme and ITG2.
End.

Dax was ITG's attempt at putting rock into ITG (no, This is Rock and Roll doesn't count because even though the title says it's rock it's not even close). It was a big flop because it wasn't good rock, it was the kind of crap like they had in Prince of Persia: The Warrior Within. And about Supernova, yeah, I know, there was far too much Naoki stuff and I easily could have lived without Paula Terry, especially. I hated most of Supernova and never even played the arcade one more than once. I'd much rather play Pump Exceed.

I knew Milk Chan was going to post the PM I sent him after he PM'd me. What's the point of calling it a PRIVATE message?
Anyway, here's what HE wrote to me first:
