The Cube has a really nice Light Chart.
Either the light chart or the standard chart.
One of them is really great IIRC. _________________

I'll take "Gallops that follow nothing in the song" for $200...
I can't believe that some of the worst charts to ever grace DDR are being mentioned in this thread. I know that stepchart quality can be somewhat subjective, but come on...Sexy Planet oni? What the fuck, guys. Not only is the song shit, but the chart is so ridiculously "meh".
While I'm not surprised to see some people trying to act cool by naming some dumb pre-Max/Ex/SN songs, I am baffled by: Hold On Me, Shining Polaris, Sexy Planet heavy, and R3. I'm also lol'ing at some of the most offsync songs EVER being named in this thread... (like Flow (True Style), Xepher oni, Ska A Go Go...)
To actually answer the question of the thread: Superstar oni is one of the best stepcharts ever. It's fun, chock-full of spins and pivots. In the same vein: La Senorita Virtual, Leading Cyber, and Brilliant 2U (Orchestra Groove) oni. Rivaling Superstar oni for my favorite DDR chart of all time is probably Healing Vision ~Angelic Mix~... I've been playing that chart for almost three years now and I have only come to enjoy it more with time (even though the difficulty has worn off).
A few from this thread that I will wholeheartedly agree with: So Deep, The Cube, and Fantasy (Melissa). All follow the music very well. |

And of course, ITG FTW. |
I'm sorry that itg steps actually go with the songs. _________________

No one mentioned Kick the Can on heavy yet!
I think the steps are in sync with the song and its fun at the same time. Its probably one of the most simplest heavy songs. |

Spin the disc heavy single is an okay chart for freestyling if you put your whole body into the rhythm of the music. Spin Spin Sugar heavy single is even better, with lots of opportunities to get down and use your hands, knees, or whatever on the long freeze arrows.
As for doubles charts, CSFILSM gives a good sense of the speed of the song, and the patterns aren't as annoying as the single chart IMO. Exotic Ethnic is certainly.. exotic, but I'm confused as to what it's ethnicity is.

Forgot to mention this earlier, but Little Bitch gets props for having steps that look like they were actually choreographed for punk dancing. _________________

...and then it immediately loses any credit it just gained for being retardedly offsync. |

Twilight Zone, Xepher Oni (IF it were ever put on-sync), Oduru Pompokolin (Captain Jack version), Max300, and V all go fairly well with their respective charts. _________________

The chart for BROKEN MY HEART is simply fantastic. KISS KISS KISS is also very fitting as well as fun to play.
And I agree with FANTASY (Melissa) and Long Train Runnin' as far as what other people have said, but I don't agree with much else. =\ _________________

But then that would include every chart in Uni2 freestyle mode.

I have to agree with ddrpros. Saint Goes Marching is amazing.
Another great song that kinda follows SGM in some places is Under the Sky. I mortally love that song, and use that as a warm-up.
Another good one is So Deep on heavy. So hard but so fun _________________
