You should get a One More Extra Stage to intentionally piss them off.

Anyway, I still hate it when little kids step on your down arrow and stuff like that, and when they actually play, they pound the living hell out of the machine.

To make this stop, turn around in mid-song (this is when they usually do it, and when it has the most effect) and yell in their faces. In most cases, this takes effect immediately. I know, once I got so annoyed with a kid that I did it without thinking.

This probably has been addressed already, but I'm not going to read through 2000+ posts. E1.gif

I hate when you start a coin line and the person who is already playing finishes their game and just puts more quarters in the machine and starts another game....

There were two kids (9 or 10 yrs old) and they were playing on Beginner. These two other guys (twenties) were waiting to play when I walked up to the machine. I asked the older guys, "Are you guys in line to play next?" And they said yes, so I started a coin line. When the kids were done playing, one of them puts 4 quarters in the machine and as the other kid is putting his quarters in I say to them, "What are you doing? There's people in line. You can't play again." One of the kids goes, "Well, our money is in the machine so we have to play." I was really irritated at this point so I say, "Here, I'll give you a dollar to reimburse your quarters if you will just go away." The kid took the money and left.

Now this brings me to the next thing I hate. The two guys who wanted to play were getting up onto the machine because it was their turn to play. The two guys didn't know how to work the machine, so the girlfriend of one of the guys was going to set the machine up for them (Difficulty/Mode/ect.) So she steps onto the pads and hit the Start button. Remember, there's only 1 dollar in the machine, so Versus/Doubles wasn't an option........So, I tell the girl, "You have to put another dollar in to get it to Versus mode. The you have to hit the buttons in this order to be able to select Versus." The girl angrily replies, "I know what I'm doing." I backed off because she didn't want my help and she ended up putting another dollar in the machine, but still selected Single because she's a stubborn idiot.

I hate when people don't know what they are doing and refuse to listen to you. I remember when had just started DDR and I didn't know how to get to Edit Mode. (I was so lame E15.gif ). I listened to what more experienced players had to say and I learned. People are just so stubborn. I was trying to help her out so the two guys could play, but in the end I payed her a dollar and I took the guys' game.

Once at the place I play at me and my sister and occasionally other people were switching off on the machine, obeying the coin line like an oiled machine. Then some slutty looking girl (and her friend) about my age (13) came up and said "Areyougonnabeplayingonthatallday?". After a lot more tries I finally managed to find out that it was actually speaking a very sped up, mangled version of English, and I think it was asking if I was going to be playing all day. After explaining the coin line a few times and showing them how easy it was, they still didn't think it would be OK to cooperate or make any attempt to be intelligent. Then after they got the girl's friend's sister (or at least I think they did) and I explained it to her, they finally put up a coin.

I really hate these kinds of girls.

Someone please explain to me why the coin line is such a difficult concept for people? I don't find it to be that hard...I remember when someone showed me what it was and I thought it was an awesome idea.

I remember instantly getting the concept of the card line (back then it was cards. Actually, I might start using it again...) The only problem was that I did not know if it started from the right or left, as there were two groups of cards at each side. Least to say I picked it up the same day.

They seemed to feel that having turns go in an order was just ridiculous and that they should always be next.

That seems to be the general attitude.

Why consider other people? You're never going to see them again. Besides, they're jerks for wanting to play anything other than Tomorrow on beginner three times with their sister.

If I were to play at Toys R Us and a tourist comes on and ignores the coin line, I probably might grow the balls to stop being kind and take my turn back by non-violent force.

Of course, if people ask me if they can go next and have a valid reason to do so, like they need to leave and would like to squeeze a round in or something, then by all means, go ahead.

Yeah, I mean I don't mind if someone is leaving and wants to jump the line, since I'm not going to see 'em again. But people that just ignore the line piss me off. I have such a hard time with ignorant people.

Yes, if only everyone shared that attitude, imagine the world we'd live in... sarc.gif

They eventually put one of those coin holder thing on our machine (had numbers 1-9) very rarely did people follow it, but when tokens kept on getting stolen, or whatever they made it to were you HAD to put a token on there, or you couldn't play next.

Which brings me to a next subject, I've had this happen a few times, I'll go to the arcade, there'll be some 13-15 year old wanna-be buttocks girls playing Gradutation on beginner stomping the hell out of the pads, I'll stick my token up there, and back away from the machine, They will finish there song, and then TAKE MY frick TOKEN! I was like WTF are you doing? And they said " I thought you were putting this up for a prize, 'cuz we are good" I laughed and said no, it's called a COIN LINE OBEY IT PLZKTHNX. They got mad and started saying crap like " I bet you can't play, you suck, get out of here" and etc, I blew them all out of the water when I did Max300, Healing Vision Angelic mix, and Can't stop fallin' in love on heavy. They left the arcade in embarrassment.

1 1/2 hour later, they come back with some ( and don't take offense to this) some wigger looking 13 year old with his pants about to fall off, trying to start poopy with me, saying I stole his "Girls" token, and that I better get out of the arcade before he "bust my grill" I laughed my buttocks off and continued playing DDR, And then he gets the nerve to push me during a hard part of AA (The song, which I was already failing due to them assbags frick with me) I failed the song and demanded he re-em burst me the tokens I lost, he said " bla bla bla, u frick face, stole my girl token, etc, i'll kick your buttocks white boy" I smiled, and said go look in a mirror WHITE BOY, it busted his chops, and by then the security was walking by, The escorted him out, He was only 13, and his "girl" was like 12, with NO PARENTS, So they got into trouble (mall has a rule, gotta be 16 or older to be without parental consent)

Mmm, you taste that? It tastes like pure pwnage. It's always best to beat someone senseless with authority force instead of your own. You don't need to dirty your hands with such filth!

But you should have told them they don't deserve a prize for being so horrible at the game. That would flip their top.

Lol priceless.... Living in NYC, we have to deal with all kinds of stupidness, people bad shadowing on the available, make LOUD a$$ comments, trying to talk to me while I play etc. but that was a very good story man, put that "wigga" in his place

This isn't necessarily a problem with arcade people, but YouTube people. I posted a video of me playing a song (Bend Your Mind, on Expert) in ITG PS2. One person commented something like "you should also be sorry for sucking so bad". I might not be the best, but I'm better than most of the people I know. I bet the guy who said is a person who does A Love Like This on Beginner 3 times in a row, stomping really hard and thinking they're the best players ever, when they really suck.

Challenge them. If they can't provide a counter tell them to be prepared before making an idiot out of themselves on the internet.
