I agree 100%, and on that note: I even got one of my friends - a hardcore punk rock listener and stubborn as hell about playing DDR addicted to DDR/ITG, moreso towards ITG further proving your point that anybody can play and the idea that "only X group plays DDR" is a fallacy that only does harm.

Thank you very much.  I also agree with your point about DDR really being no different than sports like football.
And like I said earlier, iamchrist4live, the cool kids do not shun it. Kids who think they're cool and DDR players aren't, they're the ones who shun it.
I'm sorry if you (iamchrist4life, AA Bob, rush12, ijji retunes, Dakota and Mr. Driller) have had bad experiences with jocks hating DDR, but not everyone who isn't nerdy is like that. It's like the saying goes: Just because you haven't seen it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. |

1) Only newcomers and morons actually flail, and unless I don't really know flailing, I can safely say all the people playing that have videos on Youtube attest to this.
2) Flailing is something everybody does and to paint a certain group based on that generalization buys into the fallacy.

A) So I am on a pad moving around, does it really matter, that's still irrelivant to the general question as the game is everywhere and generally has a lot of players, resulting in it in my opinion not suporting your assertion.
2) Looking stupid = matter of opinion. Maybe your right.... bo what about bowling, exercise, other activities etc... isn't that subjective point?

Travelsonic means that most (but not all) people wave their arms around a little while they play hard songs - for balance. Either that or they don't, either because they just don't or because they hold the bar. Personally, I flail a tiny bit, but only when I'm playing a song I suck at.

No, what I'm saying is that people who post on this site like DDR. They don't think it's stupid. I was warning that when a site is purely about one thing, insulting that thing on the website is asking for trouble.
And never did I say that I thought that posting on DDR Freak was stupid. If I thought that, I wouldn't be posting on it right now.
