it wouldn't hurt to read the last few pages. the people in this thread waiting for their CF's have posted their order date, and someone on the page you posted on said that their pad shipped that day.
apparently, the delay is ending slowly. we don't know yet if they're bad or good since the people haven't gotten their pads yet. Remember that CF actually cares about their customers, so they want to make sure they won't be disappointed. _________________

Hey,
I've finally been able to post...
Had to wait 2 hours after registering
I've been e-mailing Claus (The technical e-mail guy), for a while to see when they were coming back in stock, and they started to become available a few days ago again.
Customer service is excellent, as I've e-mailed a few times and got responses back, so have no worries yet.
I'm in the UK.
I ordered my pad on the 23rd April, and the next day, it had shipped from them. They must have already got some ready.
They give you an e-mail with a tracker so you can track your order through their postal service, and as of yesterday, the 27th, at 6pm, the two packages (the pad and control box) had successfully arrived in the UK from shipping,
so I'm expecting the pads probably Monday, Tuesday.
Thats less than a weeks wait! Not bad
I can't wait to play on it!
I also ordered a Trio Linker since I heard they were the best from them, and I got that 2 days after order, somehow in the post box.
But these other two items are obviously taking longer because their being sent with a courier service.
I just hope I have good luck with it. _________________

Wait. What?
I ordered mine more than a month before yours and mine has yet to ship.
I do not understand. |

t0rin, you may not want to post that order number on a public forum. Just a guess. (Alternate: PM) |

They still exist. They'be been moved to http://cobaltflux.20.forumer.com/ , but the place is practically dead because nobody knows about it (now that the old forums are inaccessible, there are no links to the new forums on the site). _________________

Ah, thanks
Still pretty weird though.
I'll give you a review when I get it (could be tomorrow or it could be Tuesday, since its arrived in the UK...Its just if they take their time to get it to my door)
I just hope the new built pads, since they've finished making some new ones, which is why you haven't been able to buy them for a while are better than the old editions I've been hearing about from reading.
So yeah, If I get everything, and get to play on it, I'll post about it, okay?
I just know, with my electronic luck (every computer part or product I buy is usually faulty the first time...) I'll probably get a faulty pad and will have to spend loads on shipping again (Getting it to the UK wasn't cheap)
BLUESHARK:
Does anyone know, if these may be shipped to the UK sometime in the future? _________________

Well, my control box came early this morning
Still waiting for the pad though, so its a bit useless... I'm not expecting that to come today though, since I expect it'd be delivered by the same company. Which in my case is Parcel Force.
Even though, the tracker says GeoPost is handling the pad, so I don't know.
My pad still says this on the tracker:
2007-04-27 18:49 GEOPOST (UK) - Received at distribution terminal overseas
Its been like that since then, and its the 30th now, so was wondering if it'd have any more checkpoints, or just be straight here...hmm...
Looks okay. Has Xbox, USB, and PS2 outputs.
Bit of a thin strip of cardboard stuck in the connector though that shouldn't be there, in between the pins...
Will keep you posted.
EDIT:
ITS HERE!!! AND ITS MASSIVE...AND HEAVY...HMM... My dads not sure it'll fit in my room. From the packaging, it looks bigger than the mat...
Some of its packaging though luckily!
EDIT 2:
After 30 mins, I'm still removing the damn sticky stuff on the panels...
First impressions is, it looks good, but for some reason, unlike pictures on the web, this pad doesn't have those metal brackets at the top to mimic the arcade. Just has a screw on each corner... It would have looked better with the brackets.
Theres no bending from what I can see though, so I should be able to remove the stickies and play.
EDIT 3:
After a ibt of play, the arrows bowed a bit, but i doubt they'll do that again, since i debowed them now.
Play is great! A bit hard to push down with your hand though. You do have to exert a bit of pressure, but maybe later ill tighten them but make sure they don't debow so its more sudden, since the left and right especially, you press it, hear that, and then hear the hit on the metal, like a double press. _________________

You have to order the arcade mod if you want the pad to look like that.

I've found that hands register better if you press firmly on the arrow with your palm (rather than smacking it sharply). Also, you should try to press on the outside edges of the arrows. _________________

Ah... thats screwy. I may go for the arcade mod later on, but for the moment I'm okay with it, since I've never had a problem with feet positioning. Just weird in all pictures it has those brackets. Even the ones without the mod in place.
PADS ANNOYING:
The left and right pads are annoying me a bit...
The up arrow is great and presses firmly with no double feel, yet the left and right and down arrows have that (though it only says 1 in game which is right). I think its the feel of the pexi, and then the metal hitting.
I've tried screwing/unscrewing screws on them, and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Its just weird the up arrow seems perfectly inline. Like its right above the metal, so it only feels like one press.
I'm going to get hold of a leveller, and get the screws exact to each other, since I guess its got to be in perfect level to not go ker, plunk when you press. (I'm a bit worried unscrewing, screwing a lot though)
Its just weird, thats all, and feels a bit off...
i can get some AA's but I haven't managed an AAA on it yet. Even on a 4 step... _________________

so you're saying that the CF that you got is well-made?
I'm really worried about this, as I ordered one on Friday. My friend IRL has one, which basically sold me on getting a hard pad, and after a great deal of research I elected to purchase from CF because of their great customer service, even though bluesharks are probably closer to the arcade feel.
However, recent posts in this thread suggest that Cobalt Flux pads have declined in quality since my friend got his pad. If the one that I get is as good as his was (when new), I will be exstatic, but I have been lead to believe that may not be the case.
Any observations you make about the craftsmanship of the pad would be welcome. |

Its been well made yeah, as far as I can tell, and works perfectly fine, but its just the buttons that are getting to me.
Their probably meant to be like that, but its weird that the up arrow presses without any double clicking type effect, yet the rest of the arrows do.
I'm not going to mess with them any more though, as I'm worried about damaging the thread,
but at least it plays okay.
I can't keep up perfects though at the moment. not even on easy songs, but I'm guessing and hoping thats still me, but I can AAA them on keyboard.
It probably just needs a bit of wearing in. _________________
