Two years sounds a little high. I played 9-12 footers on my CFs almost every day for roughly a year and a half before they started giving me crap. However, I'm about halfway through trying something that might extend the life by (hopefully) at least another year.

Speaking of which, who wants to see what a really beat-up CF looks like when you take it completely apart? E15.gif

I've always wondered what was under there.
The whole bottom is the ground?

Well, if your carpet is really thick, then, yes.

It would be pointless securing plywood to it... odds are you will be fine playing on the carpet.

I'd say that's really thick.
Unless it's hard.

Yeah, with a 3/4" carpet, you'll probably need to make a base.

I will. It's probably going to be a few weeks before I'm done; I may decide to order a couple of things from the company.

Well, I ended up losing the auction for the used CF.

Top bidder was willing to pay 260 + 60 shipping for a CF that's been used for 1 year and 4 months. E19.gif

So I wait until the "bad" shipment of CFs are done...

I think the bad shipment is already done. The only reason they were shoddy in the first place was due to the lack of parts, right?

maybe they're taking so long because they don't want any problems?

if they don't have problems, i'd say it's worth the wait.

Tell us how it is when you get it. I'm interested how these pads are turning out with all of the holdups over materials.

Again, I find myself in this thread with questions looking for answers.

How's the materials delay on the stuff needed for CFs?

Are they still poopy? Delayed? Are they still making "bad" pads?

When will this period be over, and who has gotten their CFs recently? (Order date + shipping date, please)

Thanks. laugh.gif
