It looks really pretty, but for some reason it doesn't seem very durable for hard playing and the bars seem kind of short, but maybe that's just me
Otherwise..it's pretty. _________________

I actually played on a pad like that.. my friend built the same exact one..... feels like the arcade with the exception of lack of recessed arrows |

The framing is lame on those. A 3/8" Lexan base and plexi grid frame would be way cooler. Also, the arrows should be white, and the lights should be UV. The sensors could be swapped out with modified DT200 hydraulics sensors, and the bulk of the hardware could then be all based underneath a subtle dim light in the center panel. Also, the panels ought to be slightly recessed so you won't lose yourself, and the bar should be a 1.25" acrylic tube with a .25" hole, through which a string of LED's could be strung, so that even the bars appear to be made of lights (basically a PVC pipe bar, plus cool).
Maybe I'll make one this summer, if I still have enough money leftover after making my StepMania machine. _________________

Assuming poorly, because they're 12" square tiles.
Ever try playing on those? >>; _________________

Basically, it's a thick CF with lower sensitivity and without the godly inability to break. The lighting's interesting but too basic. _________________
