I like to either use directional up, down, left and right keys on the keyboard, or Nummpad 4, 8, 2, and 6 keys. _________________

Spread is when you use one hand for two keys on one side of the keyboard and the other for two keys on the other side. For example, A is left, S is down, K is up, and L is right. _________________

I play 8 4 6 5 for U L R D and then have 2 still set as an optional down because my computer lets me do quads with that...so I just switch when I need to. Works pretty well. _________________

I have to say, I've been resisting spread because I play StepMania to practice pad playing - regular index feels more like actual pad playing.
I'm curious - does anyone who plays spread find it helping their pad playing, or do they just treat it as a different game? |

StepMania just helps me with my timing because I try to MA consistantly. |
