More Nexen in Action, yes misses were me not the pad

Yeah, I can't say that my tx1000's were the best $145.98 I've ever spent myself, but for two almost decent metal pads that brought me from D's on 8's to A's on 10's, I think I did alright. I wish I had known about homebrews before I bought them though.

Alright, so if you're thinking about ordering the Nexen, don't. Here's why...

First, the center panel is like a brick, making it very uncomfortable for flat-footing and stamina conservation. Second, it's not very sensitive (the contact wire is put in between the Velcro and top panel) unless you stomp the crap out of it and play on your tippy-toes. Finally, the non-slip mat on the bottom can be very easily worn or torn off, cause i know mine started to wear on day 3 (and it has gotten REALLY bad since then).

So overall the pad is uncomfortable, not sensitive enough, and in some areas not durable enough. I give credit to MMB for trying, but they're gonna need to step it up a little to at least make it more COMFORTABLE to play on, and not feel like stone with the rock-hard center panel.

I give it a 3-4/10.

wow, then i know that the nexen is out of the question on my buy list lol. All i know is that is blueshark is the best in MMB now which is losing quality points from me E15.gif which is very costly for me so i won't be getting it too. disturb.gif

I havent even used my Blueshark in like 2 weeks now. It's sitting in my basement, collecting dust, finger prints, and thin layers of dirt.

TBH this thing has ruined my appetite completely for playing at home. It's not even worth it anymore because the scores don't count as anything, you won't make new friends doing it, and you are wasting your time with a wobbly bar and defective sensors when you can be playing the real thing.

You guys don't realize how much I want this thing out of my house right now.

Well, I'm back. 1 1/2 weeks playing on my new blueshark. I've had a couple of DDR parties and the pad is doing so well.

My scores went down at first. Probably because I wasn't used to a metal pad and shoes and hadn't played in over 4 months.

NOW my scores are way up! I'm passing songs I never thought possible. This pad is amazing. I'm so happy with it.

The bar is extremely sturdy. I can put all 200 pounds of my weight on it and it doesn't feel flimsy at all.

I'm having trouble figuring out exactly how you're supposed to use the bar during gameplay and even posted an honest question about it in the forums. One of the mods deleted it... frust.gif

Anyway, I'm so glad I bought this. It has been worth every single penny. This pad is HOTTT! All my friends are jealous. Everyone wants to come over and play DDR at my house now.

I'm learning to slide and flat-foot.... Now if I could just figure out how I'm supposed to incorporate the bar into my game play, maybe I could pass more than a 6 footer! I'm old, fat and have no stamina! But then again, that's why I'm doing this!

Thanks MYMYBOX! E13.gif

i really love my blueshark, but i have some problems with it.

1. My center screws on the sides are stripped... not the screws themselves but the inside where the screw screws into. So basically the screws just pop in and out. Not good, ive asked mymybox about it and they are getting back to me..... slowly.... but yeh.

2. The back part of the pad where the bar is seems to be detaching itself.... i dont know why.... but its kind of annoying because it makes the bar less sturdy than it was..

Other than that its great i can still do some fast runs.... etc. except its not good with mines.... its just very sensitive.

Still talking to mymybox about these problems hopefully they will get resolved E1.gif

If anyone is actually interested in my blueshark, i'll sell it real cheap.

200$ + shipping... I'm not looking for much at all.
In the end, it will be as much as a new AB.
