Trick bar use...

Ok Now Everyone who says Using the bar is gay, that's your opinion. Sure I can Still Do 7 - 10 step songs without the bar but i still use it. Why?
Because I usually lose balance and fail and get owned by the mat or floor. I use it to keep balance. And Yes I rape the bar so hard it's *** will be bigger then the grand canyon when i'm done with it even on standard songs.

my opinion... no need to bar on DDR, but ITG was ment for bar. I mean common why does it have a weird shape?

I started playing probably 2 months ago. I bar raped EVERY TIME. Now I am slowly weening myself off. I only play 5-6 footers now, so every 4 and below I never use the bar anymore. My friend who doesn't play as much as me still refuses to let go though. But I'm starting to convince him to, since I started attempting freestyle. When I freestyle and get higher scores than him he gets a little embarrassed, so I have noticed him start to let go a little.

I'm conflicted about it. Konami says you shouldn't hold onto it while playing, but if that's the case, why is it there? For safety? If so, shouldn't there be bars on all sides of the pad? I still use it for PSMO though.
Also, i'd just like to see any vid of FAXX AAA.

There's a vid of a guy doing Uber Rave on ITG r21. I don't use the bar. I mean, the best I've done on ITG/ITG2 so far is Charlene expert with a C, but still, no bar? =)

Bemani is an elitist genre of games. People's own opinions are it's downfall. We need to just understand that people have different play styles. I feel that, given enough time, a bar player and a non bar player fair just as well against each other.

Things I hate seeing newbies do in DDR:

Attempt a heavy song on their first try
Stay on the "middle island"
Bar rape on light/basic
Freestyle while missing ALL steps
Run the heck away when the realize they are acting and dancing weird.
Try to look "cool", like do jumping jacks on like 4 jumps in a row.

Things I hate having done to me while i DDR:

Little kids annoyingly jumping and twirling... they really, really need to wait their turn
People trying to trip me (happened once)
Weird kids shouting "Perfect, Perfect, Great, Perfect, En Jee, Perfect, Great, Boo, Perfect"
People asking me crap while I try to DDR
Dumb Kids that walk IN FRONT of the machine BETWEEN THE PAD AND TV!
Dumb kids who ATTEMPT to dance ont he ddr pad.

Speaking of Uber Rave though, this one time when visiting a new arcade I found a group playing ITG2. One of the guys was absolutely fantastic; he did use the bar with both hands the whole time, but then I glanced down and noticed he was barely moving due to very precise flat-footing. He got 99.5% on Bouff, then retried immediately and got 99.6%. Let's just say my jaw was on the floor.

I'm finding that I bar rape to PA 10-footers and maybe the top-difficulty 9-footers. Outside that I never use the bar - it's more fun without. It just does great things for stamina and PA.

Yeah use the bar on 10's and to AA 9's......and sometimes i do a quick bar grab during 8's if i slip or trip..

I myself have never touched the bar while playing, but I wouldn't plan on grabbing onto it the entire song.

I only use them for the Max's, Healing-D-Vision, Xepher(cuz I'm a fatty), and the occasional PMSO or Respect...

I can understand using it if you have knee problems or something but for a 3 footer, no way
