My belief is that its the usb adapter that is giving lag issues, I don't use a trio linker plus and I don't have problems with lag when connected to my comp. Another option if you don't want to get a diff adapter is to get the new cbox's with the usb port on them, that works well for me too.

Hmm... it shouldn't be the trio linker plus' fault because the same problem occurs when I plug in my CF straight into the ps2. I was wondering how to get these new cboxs. Do I just order the "residential control box" from the CF website? The picture looks like the same old cbox to me.

Hmm, i'm not sure, i'd email them or call them to make sure you'd get one of the new ones.

does anyone else not get any of their emails returned from cobalt flux. Its kinda rediculous for me that i got my pad a month ago and i can't even play it because they can't get around to responding to their emails, when this is the only way to contact them -_-

Keep emailing them. They'll respond eventually.

Yea, they just take their good old time to reply. But when they do, they are usually pretty understanding. There is a phone number for them posted somewhere on the cobalt flux msg boards if you've got time to hunt.

I've waited almost a month and a half now, and I've sent them two emails, and I haven't heard back from them yet. =\

I've seen a few Cobalt Flux video's and picture's where the flux has silver/metallic arcade mods, like the arcade.
I thought that CF only sold black arcade mods.

Could someone clue me in here about the different colors?

Well, it takes about 10 dollars worth of steel, 5 dollars in screws, and 7 dollars worth of wood to make a steel CF mod, as opposed to $30 for the ones they have.

They have black and clear.

The black one is a lot like the material running tracks are made out of, but not quite as rough. The clear one has some kind of plastic for the corners, and the center is like the black and rough.

The black and textured is pretty good. It helps me a lot to know where the arrows are.

Actually that's just a normal Cobalt Flux without any mod kit with the decals taken out.

That's not the clear mod, that's just a without odd decals. The corners and middle would be raised up with the clear mod kit.

It feels and plays the same, but looks a bit different.

Ok, please don't hurt me for asking this since probably everyone on this thread knows what it means, but what is 'debowing'? I'm not familiar with any CF terminology, or at least that one. I got mine last week, and apparently I feel that I have to do it because everyone does. So if anyone can tell me what it is or how to do it, I'd be really thankful. And if it'll make my pad last longer, then I'd REALLY like to know.

"Debow" just means to loosen the screws so the panels don't curve up as much in the center. Here's a guide.

Just don't loosen the screws too much. If you can move the panels around slightly with your hand, the screws are probably too loose.
