Independent music artists who are looking to get exposure in the video game industry will have their shot with a partnership announced today by Konami.
The long-running Dance Dance Revolution series is looking for some fresh material and by tag teaming with BroadJam, members of the independent music site can compete to be included in a future iteration of the title to be released in 2007.
Those interested in submitting tracks to Konami will have their shot when the contest beings on Monday, Jan. 15 and they will accept submissions until Feb. 28.

DM Ashura was one of the winners of the last contest. But yeah, I would like to see Family Farce win. 11 footer anyone? :O
So, anyone know what game this contest is for? SN2? UM5? Universe 2? Or something new? |

whatever happened to the songs that won the supernova contest? weren't they supposed to be in Supernova? How come noone talks about them? I remember one of the winners was called "GO!" and supposedly won the contest, how come thats not in Supernova AC?

Except that one was for Japan.
And even DM Ashura is sort of "in-house" now. beatmania did that but not DDR. Why hasn't STM been called back? Is it because his remixes are too out of whack and are better suited for a foonmix? |

That one still counts, now doesn't it? I didn't specify a region. 
As for DM Ashura, he already put in his two cents. I'd rather see more new artists.

PS and PSM seem more like Paranoia Eternal than any other remix, so STM's music may be good. You can't judge an artist based on one song.

I thought that one was only a remix contest, not one for new original works?
Anyway, I'm surprised nobody mentioned that the prize has been bumped up to $1000 this time around... Edit: But the entry fee is also higher, IIR last year C.
