Oh and I'm ordering a Blueshark with bar in a day or two, so when I get it hopefully within the next couple weeks, I'll give ya'll a good review. | I guess they were trying to simulate the arcade feel even more with the metal center plate... |

I have a question about the BlueShark. Is the surface of the pad flat like the CobaltFlux or lowered on arrows like the Afterburner? I think having the pad pretty much flat is annoying so CobaltFlux sounds bad. Afterburner doesn't seem to be getting great reviews. BlueShark sounds good, but I'm wondering if it's the one for me. Thanks in advance. |

Oh, and flat pads aren't exactly bad...I'd be more likely to pass an SM keyboard song like BMR's A if the arrows weren't repressed. |

The arrows ARE repressed, but it doesn't feel as much like the arcade like everyone says.
Other than that-
I've broken in my BS and now its working fantastic
The bar isn't too much trouble if you just get used to it. It doesn't take too much getting used to either...
I shaved off the part of my up arrow and now its working fine.
The only problem now is that if i tighten my down arrow brackets too tight, it sticks... I've got to come up with something to stop that.
I'll be making a video sometime soon probably, including a review. So look forward to that
Other than that, I have a few questions for other blueshark owners:
When you got your BS and opened the small plastic bag with the screws and manual were in... Were there tiny screws to screw the front cord that comes from the platform into the platform??
I am very concered that I either lost mine, or they didn't even come. I keep accidently knocking out the front cord and I'm worried the pins might break.

As for wanting the brackets tight with no rattle I asume thats what you want without it being too sensitive. Just go and get a Washer the size of the screw and put it on all 4 brackets or the 2 towards the middle for better sensitivity. Tighten them and it should work if not try using 2 washers..
And as no screws for the coord, it is designed that way so if you trip on it you don't pull the CB off and break it or somehow break the pins on the BS when holding it in with screws under alot of pressure. |

Odd problem - is the X button on the BS designed to work?
At first I thought it was just a placeholder to look pretty, but I just loaded ITG on my PS2 for the first time and it REQUIRES the use of the X button. I cannot even change speed mods without the X button.
My pad works flawlessly otherwise and the A/Circle button has no problems, so I thought nothing of it (I mainly am playing the Japanese Extreme).
I'm used to playing ITG PC (all buttons are assignable like StepMania) and got spoiled by that, so I'm worried there won't be an easy way for me to fix this problem. What could be up?
And regarding the control box, mine didn't come with any small screws either. I've found it best to keep the control box as close as possible to the pad, so the cable has enough slack for a stable connection. |

Does the x button trigger the down arrow in gameplay like other pads? If so, does it cause any problems? _________________

I contacted MyMyBox about this - anyone here have any idea why my X button is apparently broken? I tripped on the control box wire the first day I had the pad, maybe I bent a pin? (I checked the pins and they seem fine, though).

The X button does nothing at all. It is completely unresponsive. |

Bluesharks have Start and Select, right? You can use one of those (I don't remember which) instead of X on ITG PS2.

It has the same function as X on all of the DDR games you listed. _________________

Start does let you navigate the menus, but it doesn't let you change any modifiers (pushing start will just skip the entire menu).
Regardless, it's cumbersome to constantly use the control box . |

Are you sure? When you select a song, doesn't it say something like "press Start again to pick modifiers?"

Definitely. I was just suggesting it because it's better than not playing ITG at all. _________________

mymybox also told me that people have been complaining about the arrows, and that putting washers in the right place will fix it.
Does anyone have a problem with the down arrow hitting even when you only stepping on the middle pannel? Mine does that so i hit a lot of mines |

It doesn't work, I tried. You can get into the modifier menu, but the only way to pick mods is with X. Start takes you to the bottom of the list without changing anything, and Select takes you back to the songwheel.
The only thing he could do is pick mods with a Dualshock and then quickly switch it with the pad before the song starts. Doesn't seem worth the trouble, though. _________________

Yeah, that was the first thing I tried when I loaded ITG, and I felt absolutely ridiculous afterwards . Between the control box and the pad switching it got pretty ridiculous to just play one song.

No problem with ghosting or arrows. I have to say my pad is pretty solid.
The closest I came to a problem was a few screws coming loose on the panels, but they easily screwed back in - and I honestly was stomping pretty hard beforehand (I was practicing MaxX Unlimited over and over again in Training). I chalked it off to breaking the pad in. |
