Quick poll for stepmania players (Keyboard or pad)

Do you play stepmania with keyboard or pad? I use only pad because it is a good exersize.

Keyboard because I can do harder songs. I tried playing with an Ignition once and didn't work because it never registered the right key on Stepmania, even though it worked just fine on DDR.

Basically fingers. I play pad on my arcade versions or in the arcade, and now with ITG's much more flexible song selection, I can essentially bring SM to my arcade =)

But yeah, I'm a finger player. More specifically, I'm mostly an index player, though I've passed a few spread specific charts.

Yes, but some songs are physically impossible for one person, no matter how good they are. No one can do Spread charts on foot, so while Uber Rave and Quasar is nice, they still are only index.

So yeah, fingers have their place

True. I don't play Vertex Beta, Dragonforce Songs, etc... on the pad because I know they are physically impossible to step. I know my limits when it comes to playing keyboard songs on foot (Basically, what you said is true, it is impossible to step spread chart songs).
