Hmm..so I was correct in thinking they would play "Dance, Dance", which I believe is actually a good thing. People hear a song that they like, then they'll think "It has some decent music. Might try it out." Good advertising.

Ugh..but that must have been terrible to play on those pads..

Ugh... well if you blinked (or left the TV unattended on mute for too long during that lame buttocks fergie video) you missed it, apparently they were only allotted 30 seconds of Dance, Dance to air...

Really the only things I would've done differently?:

- Showcase battle mode, maybe this game could be good for parties, get your friends together and battle it out on the dance floor!
- Play the whole song (30 seconds is just barely more than a clip)
- And I certainly would've picked a better license to play... (Dance, Dance is almost 300BPM, definately not a good beginner song.)

DVR is nice E4.gif

They did the most ghetto song ever. I don't have SuperNova yet, but the song was still ghetto and both of them really sucked.

Were they aware that the songs were longer than :30? That was my biggest disappointment, next to the song selection (It just so happens that Dance, Dance is my least favorite in the whole freakin' mix.)

But it gets the word out about DDR, so I guess that's still good.

And I agree with you, but this has to do with time restrictions. However, I was told something different tonight in which I might be able to do an actual PA competition instead. I guess you guys will find out tomorrow about that.
Yes, TV comes with time restrictions.

I should point out that "first person to X points", while not as good as most perfects, is actually not nearly as stupid in SuperNova as in previous mixes, since the scoring is percent-based anyway. But of course, you knew that already.

Of course, I didn't watch the segment, so this may have been irrelevant anyway. laugh.gif

Well due to time restrictions and what not we only had 30 seconds to do this thing. So they made it so that the person who has the highest score at the end of 30 seconds wins. And playing on soft pads suck..come on I'm of new york's finest..I should of gotten some CF pads or something.

I heard about the time restriction... though I guess 30 seconds would be enough to get a general idea, the whole thing just seemed to get the brushoff so they could go back to the PS3 and videos...

Actually, if you did see the show. The guy that was "hosting" the DDR part didn't even know where to look at the screen for the total score. "I have to give it to my man Angel". You have to give it?

MTV made ddr look like something it's not in my opinion. It's way better than what they showed. I mean, they didn't even give you guys real pads or anything, and the song you guys had to play is the worst song in the game!

Let's stop talking about the musical choice because that is an opinion. I agree with you, it wasn't shown in the way that it has been played for years. It was just shown more as 'some crazy arrow stomping game', as if no one has seen it before.

The entire audience left with a game, maybe that will get them more educated. Besides, just because people don't post on the internet or go to the arcade, doesn't mean they don't know how to play. We just need to get them talking.
