one handed all the way!! only because i got too used to it. three fingers on a group of 3 arrows, change positions when needed. in rare cases, i use my other two fingers for awkward positions.

i like playing on a ps controller because it helps me think of which foot to use for playing on a pad.

I'm a pretty crappy one-handed player. I can do 1-10 DDR songs. (With the exception of a few 10's: FaXX, PSMO. I prefer to play with two hands. It feels alot less awkward and I get better scores.

I always play with one hand... I never tried with 2 hands. I usually play with 3 fingers even though sometimes I cheat a bit and add an extra finger to get a quick step I almost missed E13.gif

Always. I use my pointer for left, index for right, and middle for up and down. Sometimes I switch it up a bit during fast UDUDUD streams, of course...

So far my most impressive score IMO is an A on VerTex Expert.

Well pretty much, I'm actually able to some DDR and ITG songs one handed. For example, B level on Hybrid One handed, Challenge Mode. No joke! and Maxx 300, same rank, Heavy Mode. And a few others. Oh and btw, it was only with two fingers too (ocassionally three but much more with two)!

i found that using two hands allows me to pass fast run/jump songs, like vertex^2, which i can't do one handed. i wonder if i should convert...

gahh...stupid left hand is too slow and inconsistent.

I use 1 hand and I AAA'd Be Lovin on Judge 8. I AAA PSMO on Judge 4, and I get AA on songs like Pandemonium and Euphoria. I use the keyboard for ridiculously fast songs like Blur.

All I've ever been to play is one handed with my pointer and middle fingers, mimicking running as if they were feet. The scary part is I used to play doubles this way too.

Playing with one hand is silly, unless you're trying to get impressive one-handed scores, and I know none of you are one of the top one-handed players. Playing spread is the best way to get the best scores.

I originally played one handed (3 finger). I haven't as much lately though. However, its the one thing a can hold over my friends who are both generally way better than me at most aspects of dance games.

I played one-handed when I started playing stepmania. Then I realized how much better using two hands is. I've tried a QWOP layout before and I just can't get used to that yet.

If I try hard enough, yeah. But I usually alternate between an index/4 finger hybrid, and spread. God, that sounds so dirty.
