Bar raping doesn't appeal to spectators. I'm sure they'd much rather see a freestyle dance like that of the video posted. _________________

Because there's never been a barless AAA on any song in the history of DDR, right?
I'll check out the show when it finds its way online since I don't have much of a way of watching conventional TV anymore... _________________

This is one of those times I wish I could magically transport myself anywhere, because I would have LOVED to be able to see the segment live in NYC.
Oh well ... I'll just set my VCR to record it (or wait for someone to post it on Youtube hehe).
Have fun those who are being interviewed!
YAY FREESTYLE!!!

Knowing the show, it's going to have like 30 seconds before cutting to a commercial. I'll still watch it just to see what they do though. |

I have a feeling that they'll most likely stick with playing licensed songs, so don't be shocked to hear "Dance, Dance". I'd like for them to play Xepher(Oni), though. _________________

Fixed....Sorry, but that post was seriously hurting my eyes.

No, it's DDR. For whatever reason the letters DDR hurt that poster's eyes. Which is a bit odd for posting on a site that has those letters in that order everywhere. _________________

Damn and I was going to use my connection to be in the crowd on friday (for the free stuff). But now that I didn't act fast enough I'm not sure I can get through now that there will be an entertaining part of that show. |

The plan right now is that the players will be performing Fall Out Boy and the competition will be using score to determine the winner because of time restrictions. It will be who reaches X score the fastest. However, I am insisting that only reference be made to the actual way DDR is played competitively, by counting perfects. _________________

DDR no longer has any reputation. Jump on the IIDX liferaft.
And as you all know, licensed songs have almost always blown. |

Why couldn't they just do Max 300, CSFIL:SM, Chaos, or any of those songs. (Even though they could overwhelm people, even though BillyTheKid played CSFIL:SM on Hvy. while jugglinG)
Time restrictions!!! That song is only 1 1/2 min on DDR. What does MTV think? Do they think that us expert (not saying anything against players of other skill sets)players aren't worth letting them pick the song they want, and do the WHOLE song?
MTV, if you are smart enough to read this I have 5 words for you:
[b]Let them pick the song!!! (cough: 9 footers, and the whole thing!!!)
Thank you! That felt good!
P.S. Good luck to the players. Represent the DDR community well and with honor! |

Because the majority of people watching the show cannot relate to these songs.

Yes, time restrictions. Do you think the public could stand to watch an entire song being teched if they have no idea how to even process such information? Besides, the show isn't about DDR, it is only featuring it. _________________
