Hello everyone! I'm not sure about you but I cannot find an arcade pad (with sturdy bar) that has recessed buttons. I've read reviews on many pads but they all have a major flaw in them (either no recessed / elevated buttons or a weak bar or break easily, ect.). I suppose the better queston is: Does a decent arcade pad even exist??
P.S. F.Y.I: I've been playing DDR at the arcade for years, and just got SuperNOVA, so I need a pad that can handle the new ten footers (Super-Max-Me mix! Woot!), and I don't need to worry about the cost.

Thanks DDRers!

blueshark has a bar, it has recessed buttons, its probably worth the 450$.
CF has recessed buttons (350$)
Nexen has recessed buttons (210$)

Those are the best pads from what ive heard. I havent played on any of them, im simply taking the majority of reviews on them and giving you an answer.

P.S.
those prices are couting shipping.

Yeah, I believe what you're looking for is the Blueshark. (I'm going to get two of them! E4.gif) (http://www.mymybox.com/ddrmbsgxg365.html)
It's kind of hard to get one, though. I'm going to try calling them tomorrow.

Yeah, and it doesn't feel like the arcade at all, and makes it less sensitive. I'd recommend the Blueshark with the bar although I'm not too sure if the arrows are even very recessed on it from the videos that I've seen.

AA Bob says that it doesn't not feel like the arcade at all. He said that there is a difference, but not some huge really big difference like you keep saying it is. Also, have you ever even used a Blueshark?

I played at the arcades alot before I bought a Cobalt Flux, and let me tell you, the difference between an In The Groove 2 dedicated cabinet or DDR SuperNOVA's pads compared to the Cobalt Flux is in fact huge. I have no idea what AA Bob is talking about. And no I haven't played on a Blueshark, but I can almost gaurentee that it would feel more like at the arcades than a Cobalt Flux as the center panel is metal and the buttons don't sink in like on a Cobalt Flux. I regret not getting a Blueshark.

Haha, I couldn't bracket-rape at all when I had my arcade mod kit on. I needed to step in the center of the panel pretty much. frown.gif

Sounds like a build-it-yourself thing to me.
That or buy a regular BlueShark and Attach a nice sturdy 1.5" bar.
