I'm afraid if dead on accuracy (size/design of arrows, lights, sturdiness of bar, etc) is what you seek, you'd have to make your own, like I am doing.

The closest you can get is the MyMyBox Blueshark pad.

BTW TO ANYBODY READING THIS TOPIC: does anybody have specs and measurements for the arcade pads? I AM making my own metal pads as close to the acrade design as huamnly possible, but I feel in order to do this I'd need true specs.

Are you going to use them for an arcade machine?
There's a very rare chance that you could find BeatGear pads on eBay, but if you did one pad one be $1000.00-ish.

I had no idea those were for sale.

All I could find is arcade-style (i.e Blueshark)

The Blueshark, while amazing in performance and durability, has a sucky bar. It won't hold up for very long.

Shurf, TranceDDR from the MMB forums has a Blueshark pad with the bar, and uses it on songs like VerTex and Delirium, and he says it's fine.

Beatgear pads are awesome, but chances are you'll never find one on eBay. frown.gif

Hey, anyone know where I could order a new beatgear pad?

The machine I'm looking at buying only has 1.
I'll want 2 if I'm going to upgrade it to Extreme or 5th mix.

you wont find a new beat gear pad. I gauarangoddamnedtee it E13.gif

Your best bet is a used arcade pad setup from channelbeat or coinop. It will arrive in horrible shape though, because its old and neglected. I would go blueshark or build it yourself.

Beat-Gear pads are nearly impossible to find. They were made 4 or 5 years ago and they only made a few dozen... I think around 50 or so. Sadly, as I recall even some people who pre-ordered them didn't actually get them. Your best best was when a few showed up on eBay after the guy who was making them disappeared. Since then, I've seen one once on eBay, but that's it.

Yeah, I did some searching and figured that out.

Well, I guess I'll just see if I can get a cab with the pads, or build my own. If I do the latter, doesn't anyone know what sort of chips I'll need, encoding used, etc (I can make the chips if I have to), or where I could get the motherboard chips, i/o boards, etc?
I can take care of sensors, panels, bars, and connector cable (platform to cabinet).

Also, if I get a cab with the pads, I'll almost definately mod it, so all I care about is that the sensors, chips, and cab work right.

each arrow and panel: 10 7/8" x 10 7/8".
Bar: 36" tall and 1 1/2"thick. And the back section of the pad where the bar is located is 7" wide, and the bar obviously in the middle. And I forgot how wide the bar is ...
Trust me on these, I went to my arcade with a tape measurer because, like you, I needed them for my homemade pad...

The arcade look sucks.
The arcade quality is awesome.
Possibly the only pads more durable than Cobalt Flux.

How'd the pad come out/is coming out (if not finished yet)?

Yes, that's been on eBay for a bit now. It doesn't come with the trick bar though.
