X-Play makes fun of DDR.......AGAIN. In a "Scariest Games" episode that parodied "Saw" (R.O.B being the guy in the mask), one fo the guys play DDR & if he missed, some giant claw trap thingy kills him. He's like "alright"....then "Love Love Sugar" starts on the screen & he's like "YOU MONSTER!" & then he gets clawwed for about 20 seconds....Then he fails & he's like "Thank god, it's over"....then the song starts again....Now he doesn't have any legs.

I think I first heard about DDR (or, at least, paid some amount of attention to it) when it was shown on the news because some kid had lost 70-some pounds from playing it every day.

I've also seen it on a few Disney channel shows, though I can't remember which ones.

I bet someone mentioned this but whatever.

In Drake and Josh, they had to escort Josh's boss to her condo and they were like "Whoa! You have a groove machine!". It was basically 3 TX-2000 pads attached to each other and when they were playing, it looked like the ITG Cell notes were scrolling, not DDR.

It's funny how they did the routine flawlessly playing it for the first time.

I used to listen to a dance radio station, and a lot of the songs they played are on US home versions.

Haha, I remember that episode. I think I was yelling at the TV because I thought it was so stupid. E15.gif

I just heard what I think was Agent Blatant on Pimp My Ride.

I just found this goofy little video linked on Kotaku: Lego DDR. A stop-motion animation of Lego men playing DDR set to Hot Limit. Not the greatest thing ever, seemed like they only made one sequence and then looped it to make it longer, but I thought it was kinda funny all the same.

Woah, that Lego DDR is probably the coolest thing that I've seen here.
Anyway I heard In The Navy in an episode of The Simpsons.

Last night on CNBC, they aired a special called "Game On: The Unauthorized History of Video Gaming" (possibly to coincide with the launches of the PS3/Wii). They did have a short segment with DDR featured (it was at least Supernova for once!), but what happened BEFORE it is what shocked me...

They had multiple different bumpers coming out of commercial, and right before the DDR segment, they had a bumper with DDR like arrows in the wrong arrangement ( right.gif down.gif up.gif left.gif ), and a parody of the 1st mix logo with "Game On" in it instead!

Quite interesting to say the least

I finally watched that Kings of MySpace video on YouTube and it was in one piece of the movie. As well as Pump.
