Well, now DDR SuperNOVA is my favorite because it just so happens it has the best songs on it. Before that, Extreme was because it had the most songs, and a few good ones. Before Extreme, I always loved both 2nd and 3rd Mixes, because of the songs..

SuperNOVA is cool, but I wish it had more older songs that WEREN'T on Extreme, like Bye Bye Baby Balloon, or anything from E-Rotic.

My personal favorite right now is DDRMAX.

I would have to say Supernova.the fact it brings back most of the DDR characters, last seen on previous mixes from 5th mix and back.not only that it is a brand new machine with lotsa cool songs from yesterday to today's music of DDR.

i really wish people will give the new songs on DDRSN a chance.most of the time i see people play a full set of old songs in a row in one game.
it sometimes it just don't make any sense when new mixes like DDRSN freshly comes out,and people do not bother to try the new songs.

I'll admit, I'm biased as I've only ever had the chance to play Extreme, USA and SuperNova.

Extreme is by far my favorite, USA was horrible for the two weeks the arcade I play at had it out, until SuperNova replaced it. Glad, too, since I like SuperNova's new songs, especially DoLL and Xepher.

I do remember one thing, though. Years ago, the first DDR game I saw was 3rd mix, and the people playing it were playing the song Dam Dariram at the time.

i've played DDR 1.5, DDR USA, DDR Extreme, and DDR SuperNOVA.

I'd have to say supernova is overall my favorite. Mainly because my local extreme machines pads totally suck and piss me off, but i like supernova the best of the bunch. And besides, i like my hi-res graphics! i only wish they had cool BG videos, although the dancers are ok, they lack variety. Also, i wish songs had title screens when you start and end them.

My favorite mix would have to be 3rd mix, with 2nd not far behind.

Okay, forgive my n00bish question. Each new arcade mix obviously contains new songs not found in older machines - but do all songs from previous arcade mixes appear in subsequent mixes? So does 8th contain all the songs from 1-7th, and 9th contain all those from 1-8th, etc.

I like Extreme.

I think 1st-4th had all the songs from previous mixes, and then some of those songs weren't in 5th. Max consisted solely of new songs ( at least to arcade) and Max2 was the Max songlist (minus 4 songs), new songs, and Konami Originals from earlier mixes. Extreme repeated a lot of songs from 1st-5th and kept most of the songs from 6th and 7th, as well as featuring new songs. Supernova repeats about two thirds of Extreme's songlist.

You're a hero, thanks. The reason I ask is because I only really ever played on 1st mix (hefty songlist there), Extreme, and SuperNOVA once or twice... don't really get out to the arcade too much..

I have played on tons of machines. 1st, 4th plus, 4th regular, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and Supernova. My favorite would have to probably be Extreme. I never get bored of the songs on there. It would be better if it featured the sweet songs from 6th and 7th, like Bye Bye Balloon, Ghosts, and that one fire songs from 6th(dont remember the name but the steps are sweet). Next would have to be fith mix, just because God of Romance is my all time favorite ddr song!

The only other 6th songs not on Extreme are Flash in the Night (which I assume is the song you're thinking of), Follow Me, and Justify My Love.

I'd say Extreme because it has almost all the best songs, before SuperNOVA came out.
