In my opinion it's a lot easier to whore an easy 9 and get your first quad star than building enough stamina to pass 13's.

I passed all the 13's and below before Tri-starring a song (except Vertex^2 and other unlocks of course, since that came out later).
Then again I play physically demanding (stamina-wise) sports like basketball.

Utopia and those taps, The beginning...well it isn't hard so bleh  , Robotix, you have that Left/Right thing at like 1337 BPM but that isn't hard, so it really is a break. And Xuxa the only fast runs are in the beginning and the end.
Chaos Oni is a 10... It isnt hard at all. It deserves its rights as a 10, because this song can easily be AA'ed no bar, cept for the end. I would call FELM an 11 though.

Strengths and weaknesses. It is actually difficult to rate EVERY SINGLE song accurately to the point that no one complains.
Hell, that's impossible
I find Summer harder than at least 7 12's, but probably 8 of them. As my sig intimates, I don't think Summer should be a 12. Too many people I know pass stuff like Go 60 Go, !, VerTex, Delirium, Euphoria, Tell, Energizer, and maybe even Hardcore of the Norh consistantly. Sure, some people get screwed with Bloodrush's slowdown or Determinator's flail run, but Summer still gives many players around here problems.

My above post was made to imply that just because one song is harder than some others doesn't mean it should be automatically higher on the difficulty scale. FAXX may be harder than Utopia, Xuxa, etc., but that doesn't mean it should be a 12. Heck no.

What an idea, let's give tips for a difficulty that is self-explanatory on WHAT to do if you've done 11's and 12's, just requires more stamina/speed/BS abilities
Well, here goes nothing. Heck, I'll write a strategy guide to VerTex2! Yeah!
Each "-" is a mini-section of the song
- Follow the rhythm you heard right before the arrows come, not too bad
- Now there are mines, but it's really the same thing
- Now there are fast drill like things. Think Do U Love Me. Still not too bad.
- Quarter jumps? Pssh....simple
- Okay, extremely odd freeze arrows. Don't be afraid to both twist and double step in this section to FC it AND hold all the freezes.
-Yes!
-Slowdown, but it's a simple Jump Jump dabadabadabadaba rhythm, it just scrolls slow.
-Freeze
-Okay, so you guessed how long the freeze was wrong and missed that freeze arrow, it happens. Well, be prepared for extremely odd.....and kind of stupid technicality for the next part.
-What the hell was that jump doing there (Many players familiar with the chart probabgly no which one I'm even talking about)

Tiza can pass pandy but he can't sde 9's. The same is true for many other players. Cyrus is the only player I know who has quadded an expert song without passing pandy and this wasn't until r16 came out.
