Was I just really unlucky? I ordered a TX-4000 from Lik-Sang and it worked just fine for a while, although it could've been a little more responsive. However, after just two days of use, the down arrow was all bent and started having ghost steps. The up arrow was a little bent, too, but not that badly. Now, every time I press the down arrow it makes a squeaky noise. Sometimes it won't register at all. I find it really weird because the left and right arrows are not bent. I weight about 50 kg/110.2 lbs, and I play with socks, so I don't think my weight is the cause of the problem. I've tried removing the arrows to find the reason for the bending, but I didn't notice anything unusual. Has this happened to anyone else? |

What do you mean by "bent". The arrows on any tx pad bend a bit when pressed. And if an arrow or two isn't responding CHECK THE WIRING. If that's definately not the problem, get a new control box... _________________

The platform does bend slightly when stepped on, yes. My down arrow is also a tiny bit squeaky.
After about 20 minute of "wearing in", they're extremely sensitive, a very light hand press registers, so absolutely no problems with ITG hands. _________________

I've tried that once, and it got rid of the ghost step problem, too. However, the dents were back after I had played for half an hour or so, and so were the ghost steps and the random misses. I really don't know what makes the up and down arrows bend so much while the other two don't.

I'm not sure if there's a problem with the wiring. There's a possibility, but the only arrows that have misses and ghost steps are the dented ones (although the up arrow works much better that the down arrow). The other two arrows work flawlessly.
I hadn't even thought that the control box might be broken. How do I know whether it's the control box or the pad that's not working?
I guess I'll try opening the pad. I can't return it anyway, so I haven't got much to lose. |

you probably need a pair of new panels... how did you bend the steps in the first place? I'm 170 and pound 8 footers without issue.
well good luck and let us know how it turns out |

Badly made arrows are BS.
Anyway, I'd suggest simply getting some new panels.
It probably wouldn't take too much to make your own.
There's an eBay seller called AffordablePlastic who sells sheets of 1/8" plexiglas pretty cheap, which would probably work, if you have a good skilsaw and don't mind mis-matched panels. xP _________________

i have a TX 6000, its good despite the fact 2 arrows dont work anymore (damn liksang), my friends TX works perfectly fine, it can take quite a beating, after he did robot rockerz on it alot (its like vertex and delerium combined). its a good pad just becareful with lik-sang, my friend ordered 2, and one went faulty on him but the other works fine, then i got mine and it was all good till the up and left arrows stopped working! . anyways nerifes, how did you get the base of your TX open? i mean even though you have a 4000 the design is relatively the same. that thing is a bloody fortress and i need help to get to the connectors (which i think came loose) so i can resolder them, thx. _________________

I'm going to buy a TX-4000 from Lik-Sang.I'm from the UK and weigh 44kg(I'm only 13).I've got a couple of questions.
1.Will my steps be hard enough to register?
2.How long will it take to get to the UK? |

1. Yeah it should register just fine (i mainly played in shoes), after a couple months the sensors should become more sensitive so thats a definite.
2. It took me about 14 days? i dont really remember, i live in Aus so..i dont know lol
Careful ordering from lik-sang though, read my earlier post, some of their pads can be faulty i.e. bad soldering job with the connectors. im not trying to scare you hear, just giving you the heads up. But if something does happen to it, i think the 4000 is ALOT easier to break into than the 6000 so it should be ok, just have a soldering iron ready at your disposal if your arrows start to act up and all the sudden randomly stop working. _________________

so basically your going to get a warning for that lol, and also a cf is $300 US dollars, which changes into about $400 aussie dollars plus about an extra 150$ U.S. dollars for the shipping and handling changing that to aussie makes it about $200, so its $600 for a CF, and as for the blueshark, i didnt find out about it until a few months ago, when i got my tx 6000 last year and was only $300 AUD in total. but back on topic here, whats the best tool to get underneath the staples because they are in pretty damn tight. _________________
