Well, anyway, back on topic, here is what I noticed after playing on a patched Supernova today for the first time:
1. There is no longer a coin count on both sides of the screen.
2. The build date is 0728200600.
3. When selecting on the Easy/Nonstop/All Music screen, the selection is slightly faster, but still is annoyingly slow.
4. You no longer have to press + perfectly in sync for the sort to change. It does it much easier now.
5. Scrolling on the song wheel is faster now. There is no longer a 1 second pause after holding down a button to fast scroll.
6. Flow ~true style~'s speedups are for the most part pointless, but it does make the song a bit more fun.
7. Konami's "It's new records!" engrish was fixed to "It's a new record!"
8. This was a nice surprise (although I remember reading it somewhere): DIFFICULTY sort is now available.
9. I believe autofail is off for Beginner --> Difficult modes. Two people were playing on standard and both their lifebars were all gone but they didn't fail until the end. This is good though; it was a bit mean to see someone fail half way through a song on beginner.
10. Not sure if I haven't noticed this before, but you can turn off Jumps (L+R, U+D, etc.) off?!
11. I believe now there is a split second that you CAN enter the Select Options screen after pressing start.
12. Not sure again, but there seems to be better explanations on what the options in the Select Options menu does.
13. All specific song and course scores were reset.
14. Timing is fixed, as much as I noticed.
15. I read this before, but I'm not sure if it now applies: DDR's timing has always technically been slightly early from the sound of the song on a normal, non-offsync chart. I read now that with the patch, the timing is dead-on to the song like ITG2. Is this true?
16. A variety of new background environments were added.
Edit: Two things I remembered..
17. Full combo no longer gets you an A. You can also get a B with the rings under it with a FC.
18. Immediately after the song finishes, right when the "Cleared" sign shows up a "dun" sound effect is played. I guess this is supposed to add an effect to clearing a song.
That's all I noticed, did anyone find anything else? _________________

No problem. Glad to know my post was helpful to someone.

The only thing the hardware does is press a button and send a signal to the software when counts how many times that button was pressed (number of coins). Also, I do recall some Extreme machines saying Credits: 0 2/4 and some just saying Credits: 0. _________________

No new characters. However, I recall seeing quite a few environments that don't look familiar from the old version. _________________

FaXX and Healing D Vision seem slightly off-sync now (from what they were before) is anyone else noticing this or am I the only one? _________________

No it is a hardware thing. Pre-SN (and maybe pre-DS fusion AC) machines only had one coin slot, where as now there are two. If they had kept it as-is, the machine wouldn't know which side to assign the credit to, or there would be one side that never showed any credits.
The first SN machine on which I played had some hardware problem and didn't display the bottom of the screen, so imagine my confusion when I kept feeding the the machine different amounts of tokens to get it on the start game screen. I like it better this way. |

Fascination ~Eternal Love Mix~ seemed off as well. I could have sworn I was timing it right, and I got all greats when I can SDG stuff all the time (before the update). I mean, I had 90% more Perfects on Faxx before the update than I did last night on Felm |

Yup, zdemigoth, you're right, I forgot about the two slots.

I don't believe they are off-sync. I believe the timing of the game has changed, which is making it seem like it is off sync to some people. Shadow0290 wrote: | 15. I know as a fact that I've been more greats than usual since the patch, but I'm pretty sure its NOT a sync issue. It's just the fact that it is now dead-on and we're not used to that. _________________

I doubt the SuperNOVA Perfect window is any smaller than Extreme. It felt just the same when I played visually. |

Yeah, I always felt it was just the AA requirement. At least it seemed that way when I played after noticing my PA never changed. _________________
