Most songs do yes, though many will say the game is not slighlty late. Some songs, like Red Zone in particular, are now quite a bit late.
AA Bob, just because you learned the BPM changes in PSM before you had the skill to FC it doesn't mean that learning to read it was never a hurdle at all. You may consider learning the BPM changes to be "less" of a challenge, but that still doesn't mean it is not a challenge. Consider someone naive to DDR with a lot of physical talent. After learning to read the arrows and properly respond to them, as all persons who begin the game must, they might very quickly be able to tackle things as physically demanding as PSM (or at least MAX 300, which requires few (if any) advanced techniques like turns). You can't simply judge "challenge" by how long it takes you in particular to overcome it, since it is always going to be a relative concept. _________________

It was a hurdle for about 15 minutes.

How many of these people do you suppose there are in the world? Four? How nice of Konami to design the 10s to be more challenging for them.
Actually, I'd be surprised if there were even four of those people. In fact, I think I'll be so bold as to say that any player who can pass PSM has been playing DDR for long enough that they have no problem recognizing arrow patterns.
For the vast majority of DDR players, the main initial challenge is learning how to read the arrows. Soon they overcome this and move up toward Heavy, and the game becomes more physically challenging. _________________

Okay, that's enough debate folks. If there's anything left to be said about the patch, let's get back on track there please.
If you want more debate, take it to the ITG forum and let Kiba deal with it. _________________

Sure. I really want to know if Healing-D-Vision stepchart was fixed with 12nd's instead of 8th's and 16th's.

Besides the songs being synced up, have any of these issues been addressed:
1) Is ALL MUSIC still locatated in a terrible location on the menu?
2) Does the songwheel remain sorted after the song is over?
3) Are the Style Select and Music Selection menus still slow/choppy?
4) Is there still the Extra Stage groove radar glitch?
5) Can you collapse the sorted song menu trees?
6) Does the salamander still pop up after a 500 combo?
7) With a new record on a song, but failing another in the same game, do you get to enter your name? |

Some off-sync songs don't really bother me - I mean, most of us didn't have problems with the tons of off-sync songs in Extreme, and I mean, I don't know how many of us cared that Stay and 20, november were offbeat...Red Zone, though? They should have surveyed the DDR Freak messageboard for feedback, or at least just taken a quick look at what people were saying. I guess it's going to be like Hyper Eurobeat now, a decent song that is off as hell.
However, I'm glad to hear that most of it is fixed - Centaur was UNACCEPTABLE when I first played it, as was AA. |

If you were scanning through the folders and didn't see anything you liked, it made it a faster way to move through the folders sometimes. _________________

Just been told that the update discs for DDR/DS Supernova will update the version number to "2006072500" which is displayed in the top left hand corner of the screen when credit has been inserted.
So now everyone should be able to tell when there nearest machine has been updated.
Enjoy |

Can anyone confirm that Red Zone is late?
The first report I heard of it being late was from turbo jjjang. He's definitely a good player, but I recall him saying pre-patch that Red Zone was absolutely on-sync, and I have to disagree. I may not be the absolute best player, but I have a pretty good idea of when a song is off, and boy was Red Zone off. _________________
