Who knows. It might actually be really decent. Those disks better be shipping faster though, so we can get some vids and stuff. Did anything else change? Or just the song and the offbeat steps?

Fascination(Eternal Love Mix) sure has a hell of a lot of Voltage and Stream..by far the most of any Max song(Though I wonder why they took MaxX out of the title..  ). It's not Max.(Period), but hey, a remix of a Max will work too.
EDIT:Not to mention this remix is by 2MB, the same guy who DID Max.(Period). Though I still wonder about the remix on the V-RARE..
And yes, another song for my pleasure, Xopher.

Thank, Vybz. I believe you now. I'm not, however, sorry for being extremely cautious about this whole thing, since DDR hoaxes have happened before, AND that initial screenshot raised a lot of legitimate red flags. I await a video to hear at least part of this new offering.
Maxx!, don't play the lotto today. I'm completely right about where boss songs sort on the US 200630300 revision. I didn't know that the JPN version did it differently, though.
As for WHAT this song is, I'm guessing Fascination is more like "survivor" songs from EXTREME. In other words, Fascination (eternal love mix) is probably NOT intended to be a MAX song. Fascination PARANOiA or Fascination Trip Machine, anyone?

If it's not, I ask Konami: "WTF?" Also, can the people with access to the so-far only known upgraded machine check the Challenge courses and see if a new Boss Rush has cropped up to accomodate Fascination ~eternal love mix~, given that it is a new boss song.

Yep, and the challenge steps are ok, but the two parts that actually speed up were halfway descent(you should be the judge on that). As for Fascination, its alot more fun to play than FAXX, but the middle of the song will screw you up pretty bad, but you people might be able to get farther than I did(just remember, it starts off at 100 BPM).

Kind of what I thought... or Fascination will be a new series similar to how we have the PARANOiA, Trip Machine, and MAX series. |

Nope, I'd consider it a full fledged remix of Fascination MaxX. 1, because it just makes more sense to be and 2, because the bpm clocks in at 100-200-400, just like the original.

I dunno. I'd say the exlusion of the word MAX is pretty telling. It'd be like a PARANOiA without the word PARANOiA anywhere in the title...just too odd. It's more like Fascination is a new boss series. FAXX is Fascination with a "MAX" flavor, while Fascination (enternal love mix) is Fascination with a different flavor. Perhaps more are on the way (not necessarily right away). Consider that FAXX also doesn't follow the MAX series' artist title convetions (i.e., using a final letter of some alphabet), and you kind of get the idea that it's a Fascination song first, and a MAX song second.

Hmm...since Matsuri(J-Summer Mix) was brought up, I think differently. JAPAN is not included, yet it's definetly a remix. And I don't think the artist having the final letter of an alphabet should have anything to do with it(Jondi & Spesh and 2MB). 100-200-400 is just another new artist.(line edited out for BS)
Maybe Fascination is a new series, maybe not. I think the only sure way to know is that we have to hear the song for ourselves and make the decision from there.
Where's Jiggens of Konami Staff? Maybe he can enlighten us.

Max.(period), consider that MAX 300, MAXX Unlimited, and The legend of MAX were 1) arcade debutes, 2) THE boss songs of their respective arcade debutes, and 3) all Naoki's work. Jondi & Spesh did a remix which was an unlock for UM2, but it wasn't THE new MAX song for that mix; MAXX Unlimited was. MAX 300 SMMM was also a more direct remix of a MAX song (that song being MAXX Unlimited, despite what Jondi & Spesh think  ), whereas the "big three" can be thought of more as major reinterpretations. Also, using 2MB for MAX. (period) is an acceptable exception to the convention as well, since MAX. (period) was 1) a home version debute and 2) not done by Naoki. 2MB is the artist title used for all of the special home version debutes of Usagi's remixes. That recognition is afforded MAX. (period) since at the time, it was the farewell boss song for DDR, and was "the perfect" omage to Asami, who had been one of the major producers for the home versions of the series to that point. It's too bad that the song sucks

The songs aren't unlocked permanently, only for Extra Stage.
