Of course there are girls that play DDR. At Cal State Long Beach I have only seen one other girl, other than myself, play.
At PowerStation Long Beach at least a handful (probably 10 or so) play regularly.
I'm a girl, and I've been playing DDR since July 2000 ... but I don't play for accuracy ... I freestyle.

This is what I think: typically when you see girls at the arcade, they are playing Butterfly on beginner for all stages. Therefore, these girls have made a stereotype out of female DDR players.
However, there are many female DDRists, like myself, who rise above these Butterfly n00bs and become serious players. Ever since the first time I played DDR, I knew it was something I really wanted to do again.
SO THERE!
(That was way more dramatic than it needed to be.)

Everyone i know personally that plays ddr is a girl, although only on light or maybe standard

I've seen a girl A Paranoia Survivor. So I do believe there are girls out there that play (possibly even better than some of the pro guys [sorry if that sounded wrong  ]). |

Well, I'm a girl, and I play Standard, and I don't play Butterfly Beginner...anymore. I personally hate that song now.
I've been playing since about 2004 and I've A'ed "A" and Afronova on Standard.
Not all of us fit that stereotype.
However, whenever I go to the arcade, I see guys playing Love <3 Shine. One particular one was playing Light, and fell off the machine 
Who says girls can't play DDR now?
Anyway, you know what the worst part of going to arcades is? Having guys try and show off by playing Healing Vision/MAX.(period)/PARANOiA...etc.
Especially when they rub it in your face.
Just because I'm a girl.  |

JOKR has passed Pandemonium, Summer, and Determinator RECENTLY, which means she still plays.
Flo doesn't usually play the super hard stuff (That doesn't really mean she can't do it, she just doesn't choose to) but her wall of ***'s should be enough to tell you that she is better than you.
Hurtpiggypig (Note, retired) **'d 11's and did 12's all the time back when she played.
I guess my point is, some girls are mad good. All 3 of these ladies are better than me at this game and probably better then most people who post here, ESPECIALLY if saying "no-bar on 9/10" defines good. I could do that 2 years ago, and I've been improving ever since, and like I said, all 3 are better than me.
Anyways, this thread is pretty lame if all the posts in it are "Lol is it possible hahaha" without digging up facts.
Facts > Sexist opinions.

You ruled this thread. Where the hell do you get all this info on pro players? You seem to know alot about them (and not just the female ones). |

| I'm a guy, but I know some decent girl players. I think my sister can play most 9s on heavy. This other girl that goes to my school likes to freestyle to songs, and refuses to play the 10s just because they aren't dance music. |
