Hey, these are horrible. Ours broke after two days of use from a skinny 11 year old. I need to get some new ones, but I am afraid to choose. What should we get? The DDR game doesn't get used because of those two crap pads we bought on a friend's recommendation. We have playstation 2...........

If you like taping cracked plastic arrows, get the TX-2000 or TX-(any number). If you want quality, get a pair of cobalt fluxes. You may want to check out the new blueshark pads, but I dont think they have been released yet.

Well, other than one metal mat (the logic 3 one), these are the only hard mats i've found available in the UK.

I ended up buying one a while back.

I was already pretty good on DDR and could manage most 9 footers at the time.
When i first got the mat, it kept up pretty well and the pads were sensitive enough for me to get A's on most heavy tracks.

The circular pads are pretty strange to get used to at first but they're not as bad as you'd expect. Though as some people have already said, it is pretty loud and makes harsh clunking noises whenever you hit an arrow.

I've had it for nearly two years now and it's still working alright, though the pads have lost quite a lot of their sensitivity. I need to put most of my weight onto the pads to get it to register which is almost impossible on levels like MAX300 on heavy. I don't stand a chance on it! :/

I can no longer get A's on 9 footers as easily as i used to, it's pretty hard keeping up the stamina when i need to stamp on every arrow rather than just tap it like before.

It's just no use to me anymore.

I'm hopefully going to replace it with a shiny new metal mat later this week. I've only found the Logic 3 metal mat available over here so far so I'll most likely give that a go. E1.gif

I have these and they are indeed crap.

They slide around like crazy due to their light weight. The buttons are so loud you can't even hear the music playing. For me, the worst thing is that the buttons are closer together than a standard-sized arcade pad. Since the spacing is different, it totally throws off your groove. I would go so far as to say that if you play on these too much at home, you will suck buttocks when you go to the arcade. And on top of that, the buttons aren't even very responsive. You need to hit the buttons DEAD CENTER or they don't register. Given the small size of the buttons, that's nearly impossible. Don't expect to get even a single A on anything 8 foot or above, it's just not possible with these pads. Soft pads stapled to a piece of wood outperform these in nearly every way for half the price.

These are a total waste of money, stay away.

I had the misfourtune to play on one of these recently. It was a POS. About all you can play well on this is Light. Standard is hard and Heavy is pretty much out of the question. The buttons are SO loud that it sounds like you're breaking them every time you step on one. I played better on a softpad than one of of these. Stay far, far away and save your money. You've been warned!

This was the first expensive pad I bought after my foam one bit the biscuit. I traded all of my final fantasy games for it at a game store and it lasted me one week. The buttons kept sticking and it kept sliding all over my floor. Luckily the store I bought it from was great and let me exchange it for something better.

Boy was that a mistake! I hope you didn't really like those games. E13.gif
It's good that they let you trade it in though. This thing is really the worst idea EVER.

Yeah. Making a pad out of plastic would be like making a house out of cardboard, it just doesn't work.
