I've only played twice though, so I didn't have a fantastic memory of it, and most of the people at the time were sticking to the new songs as opposed to scrolling the whole songwheel. _________________

I didn't hear of many issues with R11 (or maybe I did.. USB issues or something) so why there's an R14 is (partially) not certain to me. plus wtf happened to R12 and 13? O_o |

Actually I'm certain it doesn't. It shows all the licensed, home and beatmania stuff, but none of the previous Challenge-only songs. |

Since this is the most relevant SuperNOVA topic around...
We finally have a full video of CHAOS Challenge.
I'm going to go out there and say it's legitimately a 10, even without Oni judgement. _________________

I agree that it should be a 10, but only because of the reading difficulty (which is NOT where the difficulty in a song should come from) and the steps at the end. _________________

But the "cabinet" portion includes the audio hardware, which is a very likely suspect in this situation. |
Explain how audio connectors create lag that's inconsistant on some songs, or acts up on parts of songs (like after the freeze on Un Deux Trois). Hardware decoders works only as well as the software that tells it what to do. _________________

With a SN and MAX that's 300 and 60(four of those not being on the other machine). I really don't think those four songs are worth removing 240 others. But hey, if you wanna get rid of your SuperNova that bad, send it to Arkansas. We need it. | Huh? SN only has about half the songs on MAX. _________________

Nope. It does show ALL of the songs. Wild Rush (FNSMM) is on the default list. _________________

Says you. Complexity is as legitimate as speed and stamina when it comes to DDR difficulty. Remember songs like Orion.78 (AM Euro Mix)? DDR and ITG have basically become a means by which videogame nerds can pretend they're the popular jocks by sprinting in place for 90 seconds to 2 minutes at a time. It's a game, and the game designers make the rules, not you. This high school chest thumping is getting pathetic. All arguments about what is and isn't a "difficult" song boil down to "speed/stamina" players getting all bent out of shape because players with less physical skill or talent can ALSO claim to clear "10 footers" by "cheating" and clearing something that takes more brains than brawn. _________________

Finally got to play SuperNOVA today. The only syncing issue I had was with "Your Rain(Rage mix)". That was definetly off, but I didn't notice any other songs that I played to be off sync, and I played for a good 3 and a half hours, maybe more.
On a side note, after I entered my name it gave a code and a Konami site link, and it stated that World Internet Ranking service is now open. _________________

It doesn't take much time to memorize the rhythms/slowdowns/stops in a chart. If a chart is mainly test of reading skill, it will be dramatically easier after you play it a few times. But if the difficulty comes from the actual steps, it will be much more of a challenge.

I hope that most DDR and ITG players play for the fun, not to impress others or to attempt to be like the "popular" kids (as if that's even slightly important).

I don't care how many feet it is, or how well others can do on it. Throwing in 2049821 random stops is a lame reading gimmick. _________________

And halving bag's BPM was a lame reading gimmick, but I still like CHAOS and think it's well done. And, like it or not, reading is a vital component of the very core of Challenging Mode, forcing 1X Vivid, which is why it is the downfall of many players. CHAOS is obviously engineered with Oni rules in mind, being forced on 1X Vivid with the Oni life bar an awful lot. And frankly, I think it's a great challenge, and I'm definitely up to it and look forward to my chance to try it out as it's meant to be played. _________________

I am glad there are songs like Bag and Chaos on DDR. It gives the game more diversity. Instead of hating them, why don't you let them live on and maybe some other strange notecharts will pop up later on. I can tell you that if every song on DDR/ITG was above 170BPM with no speed changes or anything to throw me off, I would not play the game. |

I wouldn't care at all if DDR had like 30 10s in the game (just ballparking how many there are between ITG1 and 2). But when there are so few 10s in the game, and such a high percentage of them have something infuriatingly stupid, even one retarded chart is a big loss (since Konami is apparently afraid to introduce a reasonable number of 9s and 10s). _________________
