Really though, what's so special about ITG PC? Couldn't I just wait for ITG2 PS2 to come out? Then I'd get all it's songs |

Yes, but then people will be able to "officially" play new songs. And I'm pretty sure the stepcharts are brand new (i.e., not the "beta steps".) _________________

It also comes with a nice editor that will save edited steps directly to your USB drive for use with the arcade versions. I'm getting it mostly for that.
Oh, and they've said that when ITG2 PC comes out, if you have both you'll be able to select ALL of the songs from ITG2. So basically for 60 bucks or so you get the complete arcade experience at home, plus ITG3 previews. Not bad if you ask me. _________________

Ooo, there's a good reason to get ITG PC. Is it an awesome step editor, like the SM one? Like, could I change BPM's and stuff? |

Blah, why bother with ITG PC when you can play virtually the same thing on Stepmania, only with faster performance? I'm completely sick of ITG 1. I just want ITG 2 CS to be released for the Playstation, which should have an Edit Mode and all the ITG 3 previews, anyway. It'll probably also have STOP! & Go and another KaW song most likely to appear in ITG 3 such as Who. _________________

You can't change BPM's and such in the demo, so I imagine that you can't in the official game.
If you want to sync a song, just add the song yourself
I'm not even going to download SM for my laptop, I'm going to just put ITG PC on there, and add whatever songs I want . _________________

Why bother with ITG PC? It's a step up (not a huge one, mind you) from the original ITG, which is next to impossible to find these days. Not everyone owns a gaming console, but just about everyone owns a PC. Even though you have to spend quite a bit to get the proper pad and converter setup, it'd be a lot more expensive to buy a PS2/XBOX so that you could play it on that, so it's a bit of a bargain in that sense. Also, just like buying a CD when you could just download the music and burn it, buying ITG PC means supporting Roxor and their efforts, and considering the level of quality they deliver for such a small production team, I'd say they deserve it.
For the record, ITG PC is reportedly supposed to contain some ITG2 and ITG3 songs (those which aren't licenses, I would imagine), which is cool considering we haven't seen any ITG3 songs in action yet. They probably released it to tide us over until ITG2 CS/ITG3 AC comes out. Speaking of which, I wouldn't speculate too much about what ITG2 CS will feature just yet, you don't want to get rumors started and make Reenee have to yell at people.

I imagine after a while, there'll be an ITG PC hack floating around that allows you to add/sync songs as you would in SM. _________________

Hm, even without a nice hack ITG PC would be nice, now I just have to get a USB thingy =\ |
