I have a homemade metal pad that I built using riptide's design. And now...I REALLY want to put lights under the arrows...BUT... I don't know how. I don't want any huge powerful light bulbs. I was thinking just 1 or 2 tiny little bright LEDs that I can get from radioshack under each arrow. But how would I make them work when the arrow is pressed?

I was planning on doing the same thing using LEDs, but using my MyMyBox SOLOMODE 2200 as the modding pad. I was also wondering the same thing/encountering the same problem.

um, i dont' know how to do the lights
but i'm pretty sure 2 leds are nowhere near enough to suffice
an arrow of 100 under each arrow is possible
but i think most people who do lights use 2 small florescent lights (about 10 bux each at my local frys, probably cheaper elsewhere)

also, i'm pretty sure somewhere along the designs will have to involve a PCB or breadboard or something similar

LEDs suck for this purpose. The real pad uses cold cathode lights - basically a miniture neon light. They don't cost too much - I got one for my PC case from beast buy for like $15. They pull a lot of current though and the pad will need a power supply beyond the PSX or USB controller current. This will require a 12V DC power supply from the radio shack.
