Whatever.

I can 99 Boogie Down on Command, but I really can't do any better than 20 and a few misses on HVAM, and I don't consider them similar really.

He didn't say anything about them being similar. He just said that if you can score well on HVAM, then you can score well on Boogie Down (not vice versa). Since you can't score well on HVAM, you can't gauge whether or not his theory is true.

Ah, finally I've got my replacement for my Cobalt Flux mat whose up arrow ended up defective. Sure enough, I'm already coming very close to getting my very first Expert ***. I just got a 98.90% on Flying High Expert, with 28 Excellents and a Great (I also FEC'd the song, but with a slightly worse score). Obviously not the hardest 9 out there (although the chaos is a bit tricky), but I'm excited to get a *** on something other than Birdie or Da Roots.

For what it's worth, you now have one more Expert Star than I do, though I do have a 95.36 on Why Me.

ALSO: My GrooveStats works again.

If you guys are any good at freezes and forced crossovers, then Funk Factory and Disconnected Mobius are also decently easy Expert 9's mainly because all the freezes help your score considerably.

Other easy ones would be ROMeo & Juli8, Why Me, Flying High, and Kiss Me Red. Da Roots is assumed because the pic is up.

Anyways, I FC'd Why Me Hard without EVER moving my feet left or right, forward, or back, merely up or down.

Haha, Big feet + severe bracket raping on a flux saves the day. I only got a 95 because of the severe bracket raping as opposed to my 98.79 record, but the fact I can almost * a hard song while almost not moving at all seems pretty cool.

Haha, good luck with that...it's fun but be ready for that problem where the blue note becomes the downbeat. That made me fail about 5 times before I went, "Oh! I get it!"

ive taken upon myself to give up on the majority of the Expert songs our machine. It seems to give random misses when step patterns get hectic. Its not an excuse b/c i missed like 20 arrows on Spin Chicken and Fleadh Uncut and i can FC both of them. Anyway, im back onto my Hard difficulty songs challenge. Got a few new ones. Im close to getting a *** soon on Hard.

Got a brain fart on QOL near the end. I didnt move AT ALL laugh.gif

I turned 23 today, thus increasing my decrepit old manness relative to the rest of the arrowsmashing community.

*shakes cane at those in their mid-to-late teens from the safety of his rocking chair* You whippersnappers and your high speed mods! Now where'd my dentures go, sonny? biggrin.gif

(I'll play some ITG later today and post anything neat, I promise)

As promised, new records for the day.

Working up footspeed is hard. frown.gif Though I note that I actually have pretty heavy shoes...I'll have to see about getting a lighter pair at some point.

Minimalist technique is hard too. frown.gif And I still read slow. frown.gif frown.gif

ANYWAY:
Xuxa (Hard)- 93.61
Turn it On (Expert)- 94.12
Pandemonium (Medium)- 92.67
Fly Away (Hard)- 95.09

EDIT: Ooh, my Hard average is now exactly 94%. Neat. E1.gif

If some of you could help me out, I'd like you to look at my home GrooveStats (See my sig) and give me a 10 or two I should be trying to pass next. At this point, I'm just stuck trying random stuff and failing it miserably with no real idea of where to go from here, so if those who know more than I do about this sort of thing could help me out, that'd be great.

Remember December you could definitely pass, since all you need is speed for the bursts. Walking on Fire shouldn't be too bad either. Bouff really annoys me, but its not super hard to BS for a 70. Tension is quite a bit harder, same with Mythology unless you are really feeling up for it.
