This show called "Why Can't I Be You" is on in the background... Basically, someone wished they were more like someone else, and the someone else teaches them their ways, and is also given $1000. I just heard Looking For You from UM2 while the "role model" and the guy were talking.

I was watching old jeopardy reruns from like 2000-01 and one question came on in a category where each answer had the word Revolution in it. It was called "Revolution"s or something like that. And the $200 question was about DDR

I saw a commercial for "How To Eat Fried Worms", & JUST as they were saying when it was coming out, you can see 2 kids playing DDR (Arcade. I know the title was red & yellow on the top of the machine) for about half a second.

I was randomly watching "ET on MTV", and the host was playing DDR EXTREME in an arcade. The angle of the camera had the screen fully visible to the viewer, and it was just showing a display of high scores, and not actual arrows scrolling, if he were to actually play. Anyone who notices that DDR displays the high score screen when there are no credits would know that the host didn't even put money in the machine, yet he still steps like crazy anyway while saying how he's getting so far in the game. (And of course, by "steps like crazy", I mean jumping around on it to look like he's actually dancing, rather than "DDRing")

Then he pulls that wierd white boy move that involves pulling one leg up while putting the other hand behind your head and says "Oh!! I'm doing the Can Opener!! ONE MILLION POINTS!!".

I almost shot my TV after I saw that.

Oh yeah, and one more thing: During this whole thing, there was an In The Groove (1) machine in the not-so-distant background with two girls "playing it" (basically, the arcade had ITG and DDR). Again, the screen was visible to the viewer, and even THAT screen had the high score display. So, basically, even the girls in the background weren't actually playing their game. However, at least the girls were stepping as if they were actually arrow-stomping to displayed arrows.

I would've at least given the girls some money to play it since they're gonna be extras. Oh well. It was funny to watch ET attempt to go so much out of its way to convince us that the games were actually being played.

That was probably DDR being treated at its worst on TV...at least to my knowledge. I guess the ITG observation wasn't as bad, since the girls didn't look like idiots.

Just heard "Kakumei" on a Tom and Jerry cartoon. The original so I guess it would be called "Revolution" then. I think the episode is called Somebody Loves Me.

That is awesome. I want to watch that episode just so I can hear that.

About a year and a half ago, it was every 5th song on all the dance radio stations. Simply Being Loved was surprisingly popular among DJs

So yeah, not that surprising. It was on my iPod before I realized it was on a CS

I've seen DDR 5th mix on The Bernie Mac Show. Get the season 1 DVD and go to "Kelly Heros". May go to like the 3rd chapter to get to see the arcade scene.
