Um, are you joking? If something is "more musical", why is that a bad thing?
Usually bands sellout when they work less to earn more money, for example, Phil Collins doesn't write music anymore but makes mass money off of incredibly cheesy pop songs even though he used to be the singer (and later the vocalist and songwriter) of the the progressive rock band Genesis.......where he made less money.
That is an example of a sellout.
ZiGZaG still makes music in his genre, loud, percussive, and fast. ALL of his songs are like that, including Energizer. To me at least, a sellout would have to change his sound in order to appeal more to the public. If he appeals more to the public by simply refining his sound, than he is just becoming a more versatile musician, not a sellout _________________

Pfft...Pandemonium isn't noise...at least it has a few notes thrown in. Look at some of the DJ Sharpnel crap people try and step in Stepmania...now THAT is terrible.
PS Little Kitty Mine ftw |

I dig both Pandemonium and Indulgence because I personally think that they are very musical songs, albeit in a way that is occasionally masked by the sheer percussiveness. I especially enjoy the build-up into and out of the synth chords toward the middle. It shows a real progression and an almost indiscernable emotion to the songs. _________________

Its called Speedcore. I guess you could say its close to noise, but theres definitely more to m1dy and Sharpnel than 16th notes at 200 BPM on a drum machine. _________________

I don't see how that is a "pwn", especially in a thread asking "Why don't people like Pandemonium (the song)?", but whatever. _________________

From what I've heard, it's offsync, so people avoid it for steps, but the real reason must be the song itself. Just listen to it. How can you possibly not believe it sounds like something that caters to 5 to 12 year old girls? As cute as it is, it's probably the frilliest ITG song in existence and might seem cheesy to dance to in front of your friends. _________________

People calling Pandy noise are probably not aware that there's a genre of music called "noise".

A bit of off sync can't hurt a freestyle dance to an awesome song
And @ Noise: That guy is awesome. _________________

Agh.. Jebus.. think my ears are bleeding. Well, at leaast it's good for acid trippers?
I like the song Pandemonium, myself. The music itself isn't much in the way of "Wow, I want to listen to that again!", but it is one of the ultimate songs in terms of psychologically attacking people. It has so much going on in the song that there was no way it couldn't end up being a 13 footer. I don't play it too much because I can only listen to cow bells for so long, but it isn't by any stretch bad music to my ears. Now, if someone were to start playing the music that's labeled "noise" like in the youtube link and make a stepchart for it, I'd be fleeing the arcade immediately. |

Yeah, I could just imagine a whole crowd of people completley losing their minds and turning the crowd into a huge bloodbath of people killing other people in tromitizing indiscribable ways, with Pandemonium playing in the background. Really, play that song on Media Player or something and try to imagine that. It shouldn't be hard. |

actually, pandy fits better into the genre "gabber", in which ! and vertex^2 also fall.
anyways, does anyone have the original version of the song? i know pandemonium was a remix of something else, but i cant really remember... |
