I need help passing [Sakura] on Heavy. As you can see from my sig, i got a C on Butterfly *Challenge* (which is a 9-footer). I do not usually use (actually never have) 1.5x speed. Any helpful hints or ways to prepare for this song (like other songs to play to get used to the length and/or speed) Please respond, I want to master Max 300 next.
P.S. I have DDR Extreme 2 and DDRMAX for the PS2 _________________

do sakura on oni first, its easier than on heavy, to get used to the speed and the slowdowns/speedup. Then pretty simply play it on heavy, if its way out of your reach, play other tough stuff that you can barely do, and improve with that, and come back to sakura. |

...yeah, what dynasty said, although standard is easier for learning the speed changes, but challenge really isn't much harder than standard. so whatever works for you.
there's always training mode. slow it down if you have to
and if i'm not mistaken, this belongs in gameplay, and will probably be locked. _________________

if you got a c on butterfly challenge, i dont think its time to move on up to sakura.
A, or at least high B hvam and electro tuned and rhythm & police (all on MAX) before attempting sakura _________________

If you're C-ing a 9 footer, you're probably not ready for Sakura. Trying it on Oni will help you get parts of the Heavy stepchart down (The gallops and stuff). Don't do Max 300 yet (On Heavy anyway). _________________

I could barely pass Hvam or R&P with a C/D when I started trying to pass sakura. It took me a week to pass it trying like 2 times a day on the last stage. It just took getting used to the beat. _________________

play it at home and at the arcade play it as your last song, first song machine is too nice. keep your foot speed up during the slow down. |

Pass Cartoon Heroes on Heavy (speedmodless). If you can pass it, even with a C, you should be ready for Sakura. |

How will that prepare them for Sakura, the song being mostly 300 bpm or higher? |
