Can anyone tell me where I can find a reliable DDR pad that costs under 150 dollars. I found one for that price and it looks pretty good, but I don't know how reliable it is, if you have purchased it, could you tell me how good it is, and how often I would need to replace the arrows. Here is a link.. http://www.ddrgame.com/ddrmetalpad.html

A good foam pad will be a better purchase than a crappy metal one.

I'd shell out 50 more bucks and go for the one under it. Its got Da Bar! But I have no experience with that pad, so don't take my word for it.

I'd recomend modding something cheap. You can make it work as well as an expensive one if you put in the extra effort.

If you're interested in building one, mine is almost finished and already works really well. I've spent just under a hundred dollars on it.

Looks like another TX-1000 copy. Ive had a good experience with mine; some people don't though. For arrow replacements, if you switch to lexan, you should be set permanently (they basically don't crack).

Theres some that're probalby better on ebay though.

you should save more money for a CF. i don't have one yet,, but i have pretty much only heard positive things about it. any problem it does have is easily fixed, but if ur happy with...

making a metal pad
modding a cheap soft pad
getting a foam pad

...then by all means do it

as for the metal pad you want, i don't recommend it, i have only seen negative things about it, with the occasional success story. it would be MORE worth your money to buy a CF, they are only $300, approx. $350 with shipping, and have been known to last a VERY long time.

Don't spend more than $50-$60. Get either some cheap foam pad (MadCatz, Konami, RedOctane) and mod it or get a decent HARD foam pad. Then save up for a Flux E1.gif

I agree with the foam pad
i got a $30 foam pad years ago, and it lasted me through even now (but i just bought a CF a month ago, and i LOVE it ::lick:E1.gif

but yeah, softpads are evil, nonslip softpads aren't any better, but foam pads are decent (play in socks tho)
