I've had my RedOctane Metal Pad for almost 2 years now, and haven't used it in about 6 months. Up to that point I have had no problems with it...until now. I recently got back into DDR, so I pulled out my pad and cranked up ITG and noticed that I was not able to scroll down using the down button, and then when I started a song, sure enough, the down arrow was not responding.

I took the button off, cleaned the contacts and the aluminum underside of the button and it still is not responding.

Help please!!

Anyone have any ideas? Has no one seen this problem before?

Did you check to see that the wires were connected and not like split or torn or something?

I took the button off and I don't see any wires. How do I check to make sure the wires are making a good connection? Pics would be helpful.

Thanks, I'll try that.

I really hope it doesn't require soldering, because I have no idea how to do that.
