PCK Suite is going haywire on me.

I've gotten the hacks to work plenty of times for me, but just recently I tried making a new copy with more sims and such, and when I use the IDX wrapper, it generates a HUGE file (as in, 45-90MB) for the PCK.IDX file, when it used to generate something close to 1MB. If I try to burn it, it'll boot up to a black screen. Anyone have any idea what's wrong with it?

I have no idea, I'll try to notify the developer, though.

Have you just packed a lot of simfiles in a lot of .PCK files and thats why its making a huge PCK.IDX? If thats the case, then the game will crash on boot. We've found that we can't get more then around 500 songs on one disc, and even then there are LONG load times.

I'm still getting the same error as it still refuses to make .pck files.

I tested the PCK.IDX wrapper thing, and I get an "Out of Memory" thing.

Something is seriously wrong with this program, and i'm frustrated like you cannot believe.

Can someone just post the extra pcks they made along with the pck.idx so I can just buttocks them to my freaking ITG disc.

Kalek I might PM you some additional info, but it's not the songs that's causing a huge IDX file. I've even just tried to put the regular default songs on it, and the IDX will still be huge.

And yeah, I discovered a while back that if you put around 500+ songs on a disc, then not only will you have rather long load times, but it will also randomly crash on you.

I've made many discs before, but for some reason the current one locks up when loading the song select screen. Has anyone had this same problem? Is it a problem with the cache?

If I send someone the files I want in my .pck, can they make it for me and send it back?

My PCK Suite crashes everytime as soon as it starts to compile the .pck

Hmm...I personally would try uninstalling and reinstalling and seeing if that does anything.

The PCK IDX Wrapper tells me its out of memory and creates a 520 byte pck.idx file.

Why does this program refuse to work properly for me?

I did install that.
I'm gonna make a freaking video to show you all what the hell is going on.

Edit: http://rapidshare.de/files/26448235/frick.wmv.html

OK THE FREAKING CURSE WORD BLOCK KEEPS CHANGING MY URL!!!

So after "26448235/" put "F word_Program.wmv.html"

And where is says "F word" I mean the actual word with -ing at the end.

Since my other post appears to have been ignored, I'll ask again: Does anyone know why the game would freeze up while loading the songselect screen? I've gone through 15 or so DVDs trying to figure this out. Some of them worked, but most of them suffer the same problem.

It's really weird because I'll reburn a disc that worked with nothing changed but a couple added courses, and it'll freeze up again. I know this has happened to other people because it was a problem with one of the "songpacks" released. Explanation/fix?

I have 3 HDDs that are 80GB each (1 80GB and a 160GB partitioned.)
and I have 1GB of RAM.

I doubt that's the problem.

It hangs indefinitely on the Now Loading... screen just before you go to the song select menu. I kept all the ITG songs on the disc with their videos, so I'd say I have 138 songs on the disc. I know it's not the number of songs because some of the discs I've burnt have worked fine (but I forgot to include something I wanted to put in, like some of the marathons), so I'm wondering if it could be related to the cache.

I have a problem.

I've downloaded unitg and I click and drag the pck files onto it. It seems to list all the files in it in Commond Prompt/DOS, then it shuts down, with no sign of the "unziped" files.

What's the problem?

Search for the unzipped files, they're somewhere on your HD. Also, you aren't using PCKSuite.
