Kalek, it IS page 10. But to get the ITG2 songs on the disc, make sure you remove ANY rolls from the stepfiles. If you don't remove the rolls from likes like July(Euromix) then when you go to select that song the game is going to freeze up. I had to unpack mine and repack them without rolls to fix them. And you might want to change the sound file format if it's mp3 or something else to OGG. IT will use less space and give you a smaller ISO.

I think this should be a stickied topic.

I am finally on a computer with a DVD burner, and enough ram/hard drive space to handle all the memory straining needed for this. I just hope somebody here at work (a computer camp, duh E4.gif ) has a modded PS2.

BTW, are there any PS2 emulators that can play ITG/hacked ITG?

PCSX2 will boot it, for testing and such, but it is slow and no arrows scroll. Also, there may not be sound (or I may just have my sound not configured correctly for it to work).

I get a sharing violation error with "banzai - anubis.av" (from DF968706.PCK - re-packing it with DDRMAX2 songs) when I use PCKMagic Packer for some reason when I generate cache (A step I previously forgot). It is really annoying since I don't know what to do. frust.gif

Don't repack something. Make a new PCK and then just remake the PCK.IDX. Sharing violations seem to happen with .av's and raw music files (or at least those are the ones that they have happened to me on).

Seeing that I know RIGHT where to go, dirfect your browser to forums.afterdawn.com

Scroll down until you get to consoles, and click on PS2 DVD-Backup

From there, find this: BEFORE POSTING ANYTHING - LOOK HERE-IT HAS LINK TO ALL PROGRAMS

It's stickied.

Hit ctrl+F (find) and type Rebuilding tools.

It should be in bold and black, and right under it should say this:

It is highly recommended that you download all these tools in a bundle from here

After that, there will be a link. Click it. Figure out how to work rapidshare if you don't already know.

That is EVERYTHING you need to rebuild a ps2 iso.

It has cdvdgn, apache 2, a preview of apache 3, and more.

It is RAR'ED, so make sure you have winrar or winace before you DL it.

It is a 15.7 MB file, so it may take a couple of minutes. AFter you ahve it extracted, cdvdgen is right there.

IT is version 1.5, it also has iml2so if you prefer that over apache.

I didn't do a direct link because I didn't know if it was wallowed on these forums so I just did hte long way around.

Kay, so I followed all of the steps, but the disc does not play on my PS2. I'm thinking that my lack of a mod chip is the problem E4.gif

Are there any recommendations for a good modchip that does not require any soldering? Under $50 if possible...

http://modchip.com/ps2/v56pnporder.php

That's a solderless modchip. $19. $39 with swap magic. Both that and anoher option presented are the cheapest. Gets attached to the ribbons in the PS2.

From the website:

Amazing plug-in technology for extremely easy installation. No soldering iron required, No soldering required. The No Solder ModChip uses true Plug-N-Play Technology. Just Plug 2 Ribbon Cables into the ModChip and your installation is complete! A Swap Magic Disc is required to play your backups. The No Solder ModChip is compatible with V4, V5, V6 and V7 PS2 Consoles.

How to tell the PS2 version: http://modchip.com/ps2/ps2id.htm

Or, go to modchip.com and get a swapcard and swap magic 3.6

OR

Find a friend who has Action Replay Max EVO, borrow it and their pendrive, go to exploitstation.com, follow the tutorial to build a save.

The programs can be gotten from teh site.

In ELF libraries, make sure you have launchelf (renamed to BOOT.ELF) and cogswap.elf

Make the save. Uncrush it to your memory card. USe hte trigger disc, hit select and assign cogsap to a button. After that, launch cogswap. Put in a High TOC(Table of COntents, AKA takes up a large amount of space, like 3.75 GB or higher) and wait for it to turn yellow and say "PS2 DVD." Hit X.
Wait for it to turn purple and say "Use Cogswap." Manually open the tray by sliding the pin (swapcard tutorial and illustration on the website) and put the disc in. Manually close the tray. Return pin to place. Hit X again. Wait a minute or two for the game to load. This is like a normal swap disc.

If you have it on a CD, put the CD in at the cogswap screen but DO NOT hit X. just open the tray by moving the pin, inserting hte disc, closing the tray, resetting the pin to clsoed, and THEN hitting X. Then wait for the game to load.

Those are your options.

If you're willing to spend about 70 bucks with shipping, there is THIS option. It's a solderless DMS4 EZI. Only works with V5 to V11 ps2's. DON'T BUY ANYTHING WITHOUT CHEKCING YOUR VERSION FROM THE LINK EARLIER IN THIS POST!

Here is a link:http://www.modchipstore.com/DMS4-EZI-Lite-Solderless-ModChip-Playstation-2-No-Solder-Solutio-16221.html

From the website:

Description:
The First and Only Solderless Solution for the PS2 comes from the most innovative MOD team. After the amazing success of the DMS3 Modchip, we decided it was time to offer innovation, reliability, ease of installation and superb compatibility but at reduced cost. The DMS4 E.Z.I. is ideal for users who require a reliable and feature packed Modchip at a reasonable price. All this from a 100% SOLDERLESS, CLIP ON, PLUG and PLAY solution!

DMS4 will automatically detect whether a PS1, PS2 CD-R, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD9 or DVD+RW (containing Homebrew Elf's), original domestic CD/DVD is inserted and then boot it without any interaction from the user.

100% Solderless with the advanced Japanese precision micro molded interconnects and our unique Eject signal adapter to provide reliable connection to the main E.Z.I. module.

I am thinking about buying this, currently I am using swap discs so I don't avoid my warranty, with a homemade swap card.

For the DMS4 EZI, I have one.

It seems to work pretty well, except the DSP clips don't work too well. At some point, mine broke too. So, I ended up soldering those seven wires (well, actually four in my case since I have a V7) and now it works.

Its best to go with a fliptop and swap magic if you don't want to solder. I've heard that the slide cards can screw up your PS2 drive (although, when I had one, there wasn't too much trouble).

The only issue is it can unalign your laser, but they have kits that helpfix that, and if you get swap magic with the replacement front plate, it prevents that issue by keeping it on one track.

Which PCK are you trying to pack? Repack the system files FIRST, because that way you will get the right PCK name. Then pack the others. Don't do too many songs otherwise it will yell at you like it did. My suggestion would be to make each PCK NO BIGGER THAN 900,000KB, or approximately 898MB. Once again, make sure you convert them to OGG, it will save a LOT of space. I have 479 songs and they're in OGG and it's only 1.14GB for the entire disc. If you did that with the ORIGINAL home, it fits on a CD. I did it.

Way more convienent. Using cogswap, I can launch it using Crash Bandicoot: the Wrath of Cortex and it takes about 20 seconds.

This is pathetic, the packer refuses to work no matter what I do with it.
