|

I'm sure hardly any ITG fans can wait for ITG 3 to hit the arcades, as well as future ITG installments, so I've decided, how about we list what we want to see in future games? This can cover new songs, new stepcharts, etc. After all, the songlist is the primary aspect of any DDR/ITG game.
For new songs, I'd like to see:
- Another Takoyaki song
- A ton of great songs (just like ITG 1)
- More Machinae Supremacy songs (fast and upbeat, not like Cryosleep)
- Techno Latino by Chucho Merchan
For new stepcharts, I'd want:
- All new songs with Expert steps
- At least 4 new 13 footers (especially ones that can help me break into the point where I can pass VerTex^2)
- Singles Expert steps for Perfect (forgive me, but I actually like that song, except for the fact that it doesn't have Singles Expert steps)
- Singles Expert steps for Pick Me Up And Tango (another great song ruined by its lack of Expert steps)
Songs I want gone include:
- Habanera 1
- Why Me
Of course, all of the stepchart revisions for ITG 1/2 have pretty much been confirmed, which is why I mentioned ITG 4 in the title. Still, it would be nice to see some great new songs and significant song improvements in the future. _________________

More Teckno Dred
More Kid Whatever and his pseudonyms
More Smiley
More Frontalot (expert charts please?)
All songs from ITG 1 and 2 (why drop any when they have the HD space, someone will inevitably be disappointed if a song is taken out)
Stepcharts following the lines of ITG 1 and 2, so if you want to add 14s, add them slowly, and keep the fun hard charts and expert 9s and 10s coming. I like a challenge, but I like having plenty of charts that don't make me sweat like a pig. _________________

HABANERA 1 IS AWESOME! HOW DARE YOU DEFY CLASSICAL MUSIC?
List of Expert steps I want, aside from the ones already confirmed to be added in ITG3:
-Don't Promise Me (SUCH AN AWESOME SONG ;_; )
-Pick Me Up & Tango
-Mouth
-Torn
-Habanera 1
-Normal
-Perfect
-I'll Get There Anyway
-Changes
-Reactor
New songs from Smiley, Nina, Reflection Theory, and Digital Explosion. Mostly Reflection Theory. They're one of the best artists in ITG, but they only have four songs in the game (one of which is a remix), and there weren't any new songs by RT in ITG2.
Also, DON'T REMOVE NORMAL. In the confirmed list of stuff in ITG3 on ITG Freak, it said Normal is going to be removed. I love that song. ;_; _________________

I would like to see Summer rated back to a 13 like it should be. _________________

I want On A Day Like Today to become a 10 since those twisty runs are far too hard for the average 9-foot player to handle, not to mention my score on it sucks. Charlene should most certainly be a 10 because it's ridiculously easy to pass and score for an 11. Seriously, songs like Tension, Know Your Enemy, and Hillbilly Hardcore are significantly harder overall. _________________

I second 3.5x, C500 and the like.
I few difficulty ratings could be corrected, but I'm not to anal about that. I believe with all my heart On A Day Like Today should be a 10, but it probably won't.
14-block song.
More 13's.
Keep Summer 13, Bloodrush a 12. I can see why ! was rerated 11 though.
Turn 24th notes Pink. It would help me a lot in songs like, well, Determinator. I seem to always get one 24th ahead or behind (Reading, not speed usually) and start great or even decent attacking the mega stream. How fun is that
Give songs that don't have Expert charts there own Expert charts. Seriously, how can a song like Don't Promise Me only go up to Hard, or Habanera 1 for that matter?
And this last one, few people will agree with, but I'll suggest it anyways.
Make a new difficulty tier similar to DDR's Oni Mode, but unlike DDR's Oni, make it ALWAYS marder than the Expert chart. Only make a smattering of these and have the easy cut off be 11 and the hard cutoff 14. The reason I suggest a new difficulty tier is to avoid huge jumps in diffulty like Pandemonium. A drunk man can pass Pandemonium Medium, but it takes a pretty decent player to pass Hard, and than a very good player to pass Expert. This a new Difficulty Tier, You could add a 10-footer chart and call that Hard, make the Hard chart the Expert Chart, and move the 13 to the rare new difficulty tier.
I think that would help people progress and not have such huge gaps in difficulties like in Determinator Hard and Determinator Expert. _________________

Charlene is an introductory 11. It has many 16th streams that someone who's working on passing 10s would not be able to do. _________________

Just passed it today >.>
Agent Blatent was much harder for me than Charlene. Easier to pass, yes, but harder to score good on. _________________

They could just call the "harder-than-Expert" as Another. Anothers could be intrinsic in the song difficulty or off in their own little group. I'm not so sure about the scalable increase within the song itself. Rather than super-even jumps in difficulty in the song, I'd rather see more even difficulty gaps across charts of the same rating. 9s and 10s are well-fleshed, and ITG2 seemed to develop 11s to the harder end (for the most part). One thing I would like to see is for Doubles to be reworked similar to PIU, where you can alternate between Singles and Doubles during the round. _________________

Duality, awesome song.
Club Kung Fu by Vanilla Ninja, pretty sweet song I could see steps to that (have a great simfile for it actually)
Some new Marathons with some pretty cool mod combos.
It would be cool to have the option to make custom Marathons, with existing songs on the machine of course, to put onto the USB flash drive. |

Yes, but the same applies with Know Your Enemy and Hillbilly Hardcore. The patterns in Charlene's runs are extremely basic and unsurprising, even giving you some breaks during the long run from the verse (when it's going in a drill for a measure) if you can't really keep up. Know Your Enemy's runs are generally shorter, but they're also extremely twisty and confusing, and the song's long run is tough throughout, not to mention the song is full of jumps throughout. Hillbilly Hardcore is just plain tiring because its stepchart is made of mostly runs, which aren't twisty, but are still difficult because there are plenty of candles. Nobody seems to believe those two songs should be 11's, so with that said, I see no reason why Charlene shouldn't be a 10.

I'd like a deep blue interface (I like blue), more hands (I LIKE hands), and uhh...more hands
I know my list sucks. But I've only played ITG once, so I'm not quite sure what else I'd like. |

Well, Know Your Enemy and Hillbilly Hardcore don't have an abundance of mines like Charlene does. For nubcakes, mines are hard to read. _________________

Summer should be a 13.
Dont take away songs, thats just stupid for a 40 gigabyte harddrive.
More 9s and 10s.
Ridiculous judge grade.
A 13 under 150 bpm.
Negative mini as a regular song option.
Change the default song so Amore isnt whored out by 3 year olds.
Hide Bumblebee so the song isnt whored out by 8 year olds. _________________

Yeah, but that just puts it on par with KYE and HH. Charlene is significantly less tiring than the other two songs, which makes it easier to avoid those mines, anyway. KYE's stamina factor makes it harder to nail the twists and jumps later on in the song, while HH's makes it a chore to move your feet fast enough to make all the candles in all those runs. Mines do make songs quite a bit harder, but stamina is one of the primary aspects of song difficulty. _________________

I'm probably not really qualified to give opinions on the stuff I'll mention here, but I'm doing it anyway.
I'd like to see a slight reworking of the high end of the ratings system. Say... push Pandy and V^2 up to 14, leave Summer as a 13. Then, promote some of the harder 12s to 13. I'd suggest Bloodrush, Euphoria, HotN, and Determinator... that list may not be perfect though. And then make sure that the new ITG3 songs flesh out the now-depleted 12 and 13 ranks with enough new material, and make sure to have 2 or 3 new 14s as well.
I also think it would be good to see a sixth "hidden" difficulty on a few select songs. All of the charts would be no easier than a 14, and they'd need to either be unlocked, or accessed with a step code each time they are played. What I have in my mind is a black difficulty color (instead of Expert's light blue), with Another or Extra being good names. Make them hard. Really hard. In fact, these charts could even somewhat ignore following the music and insert a bunch of extra streamy steps just to make it harder (think July). I don't mean to make the charts make no sense with the music, but adding 16th streams that aren't necessarily dictated by the music would do this job well enough. These charts would only be for the best players out there, for people who are looking for a raw challenge. They may not be pretty, but they're hard. Maybe something along the lines of the Stamina Tester edits. _________________
