How obsessed with DDR are you?

man i was totally obsessed with DDR a while back...but then ITG came out and i sorta moved on from then...i occasionally come back for DDR though. I'll say im mildly obsessed with DDR now

Well up until recently all Ive ben doin is going to the arcades whenevr I have money, own 219 DDR songs on my I Tunes, and have gotten my friends into it. Oh did I mention I go to friends houses just to lay it and at my place (Mario DDR). Am I obssessed?

I'm barely. Back then I was ddr 24/7 but now I'm all caught in weightlifting, soccer, and breakdance.

I play ddr 12 hours a day.
I wrote a school report on ddr once.
I'm ranked number 1 on xbox live um3.
I'm ranked number 2 on xbox live um2.
I have 3 ddr tshirts.
I see arrows everywhere.
I ddr at school on the 12 by 12 tiles.
I go to the arcade at least twice a week.
My grandparents don't believe in video games. But because of me they believe in ddr.
If i don't ddr My parents think im depressed.
I have all the games for xbox.
I have extreme 1 and 2 for ps2.
I've gone through more than 4 soft pads.
I'm better than some people who have been playing for over 5 years.
If I see someone ddring I do it with them.
I had celebrated my birthday with my friends at the arcade playing ddr.
I have only been playing for 6 months and I devote almost all my time to it.
I've only gone out with ddr for 11 days.
For me ddr is just a lifestyle.


It may not be a great list but you might just figure I am obsessed with ddr.

- I squealed like a little girl when I saw that SN is at an arcade by me (in a crowded library FTW)
- I did a DDR project for math class and got an A
- I annoy the hell out of everyone around me by tapping my knuckles on a hard surface to the beat of Max 300
- I am known by first name by most of the arcade staff
- I have gone through about 8 soft pads
- I am frequently referred to as 'that girl who's really good at DDR' (Someone even recognized me at the arcade as Ryudori )
- I have a DDRFreak t shirt
- I shadow on floor tiles in the grocery store
- When I go to the arcade I do not bother with any other game (okay, any other non-Bemani game)
- I have played DDR for six hours straight

i got more to add to my list.

90% of music i now listen to are DDR songs enspecially the max songs and paranoia brothers saga. (i used to listen to system of a down, AFI, that kind of stuff)

i take protein shakes before every time i play DDR at home, as it is the only workout i get. (i have results too )

My family is annoyed at thats the only thing i talk about to them.

As ive read, they too think im depressed when i dont play DDR or when i play ALL day (not joking with ALL)

almost done with building my own arcade mat with box included. really happy about that one.

and yet i still cant pass TLoM or PSM yet on heavy... only those songs...

maybe i can come up with more while i wait for my legs to stop throbbing from DDR.

You should have seen me at this one tournament last summer. I felt like my legs were gonna fall off after a 2/3 match. I still got like 5th or 6th place though lol.

I'm so addicted that if I would win 1 000 000 000 $ I would buy one all DDR versions (Japanese, American) and donate the rest to Bemani.

I also lost one of my friends, kind of a long story... We play DDR everytime at my house. One day he was bored of DDR, so I started playing stepmania. He said I was to obsessed with DDR. I managed to make him go away back to his house (told him that all of his games were boring, he said mine were too, so I told him, "instead of doing nothing at my house, why don't you play at your house. He said ok, and left. I told him "Call me when you want to play DDR", he answered "that's going to take a long time.".

*takes breath*

So I answered, "See you in a long time then" (Note: Wasn't angry about that, I'm opptimist, always." Went back to my basement to play DDR. If I had played with him, I wouldn't have unlocked 5.1.1 and trip machine climax that day. ( lost my memory card and bought one that day)

I very obsessed with the game. It's a big part of my life, like breathing. I play the game 3 times a day for aleast 3 hours! I never get bored with it . I sometimes like to bragg about it when I'm at school hanging around my associates.. If I don't play DDR everyday, I start to freak out and l'll be upset about it all day. It's a big part of my health also. It's what keeps me in shape. I still have the first game mat I ever bought. I treat it like a delicate baby.. except when I'm stomping around on it.. . I've never played it at an arcade though, I will if I knew where they reside.. Other than that, It just be me, the sound system, television and Xbox all alone in the basement .

i can do the majority of EXTREME stepcharts by memory

i can only sleep after playing my home versions for three hours

i'm known as "The DDR Kid"

i've made out with people to afford DDR

i started all my friends playing

i'm on a first name basis with all the arcade employees

i'm featured in my high school yearbook for playing DDR

my feet mysteriously begin stepping if i sit still for more than five minutes

i almost quit smoking to improve my stamina

i carry unlock codes around with me in case i run into an incomplete machine

i drive half an hour out of my way to play arcade several times a week

can name every song on EXTREME or MAX2 by artist, bpm, alphabetical, or default order

i can SDG the CATA LOMS steps and wish HVAM had an ONI 10 FOOT version with GALLOPS and DEATH RUNS to make PSMO look like Quickening. (10 points if that makes any sense to you at all)
