Arcade

1) it's social, you get to meet new people and not seem quite as pathetically obsessed

2) metal pads, and I don't have spare money to buy my own

3) you get to show off

4) timing on home systems is just funky. I can AAA everything on a PS2 and have to stuggle to even AA some songs on other systems.

i like the arcade. i like watching others play as well as playing in front of bypassers

you dont get that at home

its not the best place to practise freestyling though, but no matter

i still wish i had a mat though frown.gif

ARCADE KICKS buttocks!!! E1.gif
Yeah, I'm a lot better on home pads but still, there's something about the arcade's atmosphere that makes the arcade experience unforgettable
(it's even better if u have friends wif u!!! biggrin.gif )

Agreed. E1.gif
I would say I favored home play though 'cause I've a social phobia sort of thing.. But after playing tonight at an arcade [for only the second time >.<;;] I'd have to say while it's a little difficult for me to relax? I like the arcade rather well too. ^-^;;

I agree with you guys. At the arcade you can have tournemants, and you can challenge other people. Although you can do this on recal, you do not always know that the people are just using a controller. The pads are better because they do not go everywhere. And the arcade has a bar just incase you start slipping. Although if you have a metal mat other than flux you can buy the pads with bars.

Well, the pads are sometimes better. The arcade has worse pads when You have like 300 perfect, no greats, and 5 misses.

True. The arcade Is harder on your health when you miss and grades are alot harder to get. And it doesn't help that the pads require you to use all of you weight on them. But to get used to it, raise the diffficulty level on the game and get a metal mat. It's not the complete same but it's as close as you're gonna get.

i would rather play at the arcade than at home for 1 reason: METAL PADS!!!, once i get the metal dance pads i'm saving up for (probably iON (universal with bar), (assuming i get an X box, x box 360, all games for them, etc.), i might stop going to arcades *as much*

...but for now, i prefer arcade because all i have at home is MAX2, EX2, and A soft pad that i've had for about a month, it's not broken, you just have to push down.gif for up.gif to work, but i only have to push down.gif to do this jump down.gifup.gif!

I like both. At home, I can freestyle, Not pay money per play, and train on songs as much as I want.

Arcade is great because of the whole experience of meeting people and making new friends. I like to show off when I'm at a arcade, and I can get rid of extra change. E15.gif

I have to go with the Home Pads all the way. Theres always usally something wrong with the arcade pads at the arcades because of people stomping on the dam pads like Elephants tho some of the people who play DO infact look like Elephants.
