Everybody keeps saying how people keep releasing packs. Well, SMGroove is releasing a GOOD pack. If no good sims are submitted... There WON'T be an SMGroove pack. be sure about that. The community needs a good general pack, we're tired of the same songs. We're here help this matter. this is NOT a dedicated pack like the VGMP or the YTMND pack, this is a general pack meaning you can step whatever you want as long as it has good audio quality.

Submission Information:
Submit your files to [email protected]
Include contact information in the email, as, if accepted, you will be prompted to upload your file by FTP server, so that your submissions may be judged democratically. The other method of submission is to either IM or PM me And i will get back to you VERY SOON.

Rules:

  • All files must be uniquely released to this pack. (All files must be unreleased to the public.)
  • All difficulties welcome, but should one appear without a decent difficulty, it may be frowned upon in judging. There is pressure that there are not enough "easy" songs, but easy steps are just as easily put into a more fun song with difficult steps as well.
  • Long and Marathon files welcome. Should they bring a problem with synching, the synchers will take that under their own accord.
  • Rules on resteps:
    • No Resteps unless:
      • You have a bganimation AND an idea for considerably better steps.
        AND/OR
      • The original was not synched correctly.
        AND/OR
      • It's a considerably different remix / long version / etc than the existing file.

    • Songs in an original bemani mix, ITG game, the foonmixes, or the D3mixes WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.
    • Songs from beatmania IIDX and Pump it up are exceptions, though we award you for originality if you do a song that is not in a dancing simulation game yet!

  • - to be edited -

This pack is unique in that it will

  • Allow the contributors to comment and take action (edit) to a fellow contributor's files. This will be held in check by a crew of judges and moderators.
  • Allow for GFX and Synching and Steps (the 3 crucial parts of a file) to be handled by multiple persons efficiently.
  • Allow for non-complete submissions, or even, non-existant submissions to be handled. This will hopefully allow for a broader and more creative range of songs.
  • Due to staffing, allow any song (including live recordings) to be in the pack by having designated "synchers" who are willing to make a perfect synch of ANY song. Ask us about it today.

OTHER RULINGS:

If your file is to contain Pad & Keyboard steps, Pm or ImTaifunbrowser AND Dj_ossa, and we will debate options to take from there.

STAFF:

Judges:
  • Taifunbrowser
  • KGZ
  • Shadow01

Comments
Why the "multiple workers" on a file? I believe that a tighter community will reduce the amount of "crap files" in the end. When fellows can see their own mistakes, and as long as the files are to a majority of liking, then the files are more likely to be enjoyable to the public.

And if you have KB submissions, also submit to the The KB Part of the Pack

Don't tripple post. Especially if the posts have nothing important in them (third post). If no one is posting, don't bump it unless it's an important matter and you NEED people to post back.

He can bump for the fact that this seems to be a notable collaboration. The mods don't have a problem with it, so why should you? Let's just ignore the thread if it doesn't mean anything to you, and go on posting in the rest of the forums.

Anyway, I should give pad judging a look, at least once I get a good computer with SM positioned anywhere near my pads (re-doing the basement soon, mainly for the purpose of having a DDR room, so Ill see about it then).
