The fact is DDR is a video game, so regardless of who plays it there will always be some people (like most of the "preppy" and "gangsta" kids at my school) who will take one look at the game and not care how different it is or whatever and think it is stupid. The guy on MADE did have a point, plus I'm sure he didn't look too attractive to those girls flailing about and everything. _________________

Not all schools have tournaments. Mine probably never will, but I don't need high school to be supportive of me to play DDR. _________________

A lot of people that play DDR are losers because a lot of people who play DDR are gamers (and a lot of gamers are losers). The kid had next-to-no social skills so of course he would pick the arcade as a dating choice (just like a loser would). _________________

It's very true. And the worst part is, if they really are horrible social losers, most of the time they don't even know it. _________________

I've been called a "loser" many times for playing DDR. I also don't know anyone else at my school who plays it, which is rather sad. Wait. I know one person.
It's annoying how people who act even just a bit "off the wall" are called geeks, dorks, losers, etc... and the people don't even know them. _________________

The only reason alot of us get crap is because at least half of the DDR population are people who have no other life other than Dungeons and Dragons and flamin hot cheetos. The whole situation causes people to be stereotypical and automatically assume that anyone who plays DDR is a f*g.
Ive been called a f*g, loser, gay (and im not) but only by those unique individuals who wear all black, murals of rappers on their shirts that are 10x too big for them, and pants that hang so low, they pull them UP to go to the bathroom! Otherwise known as 'gangsters.' But from their perspective, no ones cool unless theyre fellow gang memebrs. _________________

i have seen that made episode and it was just a show to get someone out of their bubble and see if they can fit in someone else's life with the turnout to be that changed person for life or going back to the old habits, but learning something in the end.
The guy lost weight, he became a tad bit cooler on campus but I think they did that because cameras were there and they wanted their 15 seconds of fame, he got rejected by the girl he really wanted to ask to his school's dance, but later got a date anyway, and his confidence went up a bit. Also that 2nd part he went to cancun and made out with some chicks so i'll give him that.
but yeah anyway. like what Liquid Zero said. If people call you a loser for playing DDR, who cares!!!
and to those who think they're "losers" your NOT. If you have some ambition in life then you are not a loser. |

Hmm, well, first of all, if anyone calls you a loser for playing DDR..you are not.
Losers, are people who don't do anything with their lives and attempt everything and fail miserably and pout about it all the time
If you can go up on a DDR machine, and pass a song, you are not a loser, it shows you have good foot-eye coordination |

Lol...down here, it must be the opposite, because alot of ghetto people play DDR and aren't bad at it. If people know you play DDR and you're good they're like "OMG I CAME!!!!!" But uhh...for a date? That's just wrong rofl.

I dunno. First of all, stereotyping people who play DDR as losers is, of course, generally incorrect. There are those who do fit the description pretty well, but by and large it's just a group of people who like to play a video game. I do get made fun of by my friends for being a 'DDR loser,' but it's all in good fun.
MTV's just hatin' cuz they don't got tha ski11z0rz.
I've actually had this idea for a t-shirt based on this general idea for awhile now, tell me what you think:
I'd wear it. _________________

I act completely off the wall all the time, and I've never really been insulted by anybody... except one girl, but after about three minutes she wasn't so prissy. I wonder why that is. |

Well, where I live... it's pretty bad. Small-town mentality, maybe? People don't accept anything. It's crazy. _________________

Perhaps it's just that I'm so far off the wall, people realise I'm trying to get a reaction and they refuse. Honestly, it's disappointing how much people are willing to accept from me. |
