Yeah, I think this site's warning system and user levels are pretty good/effective...I don't really see any reason to change either.

According to my memory when I was on my 1st forum (Nintendo's LoZ: Wind Waker forum, which is now Nintendo's forum on their site), people would get certain privaleges when they got a high enough level (like editting). & getting a higher level was based on 4 things:

-How many posts you've made
-How long you've been here (which is what we do now)
-How much you come here (like people who come here every day level up faster than people who come like a few times a day.)
-What you've done for the forum (like post of the week, contributing. This was mostly for people w/ the very special privaleges/levels, like now. Plus a special icon, like we also do)

Also, sometimes you had to meet a mixture of requirements, like 100 posts & been a member for 10 days. Only posting wouldn't help alot. Plus, there was special levels where only the mods of the forum could give out based on what you do. I think not having points helped, too.

Okay this is a little off topic but sorta not. I took a little break from posting here for awhile. Now I'm back and I was wondering, what is the rank that has a standard foot with an oni foot under it. Is that some new kind of rank? Contributor? Sponsor? What?!?
