Holy Balls. 99.83 on Oasis hard (4ex). Maybe my best score yet, aside from my Mythology hard. Crappy pic though, i forgot 2p pad was plugged in and i accidentally exited the score screen. I'm really pissed at that.

Wow, nice.

Got my 3rd *** today:

And here's Tribal Style x1 no bar:

Is ITG's scrolling slower than DDR's? A 140 scroll speed on DDR seems a lot faster.

Well, if they are a home player, it eliminates the possibility of passing ! first.
The better question then is, "Why the hell didn't you just get VerTex out of the way"?

I mean seriously.....11 with gimmick tempo changes and mines. Don't deny it =)

I'm not a home player, but I did try to do !, and died at the freeze roll with the mines straight after it. I tried doing Delirium a second time and couldn't finish it. The end was one giant stream of Greats.

the arrows move at the same speed, but the fact that there's no frame masking the bottom of the screen and that the arrows themselves are smaller makes it seem like they scroll slower.

no, that's Oasis. Anbis hard is an 8 anyway, and even though my camera sucks balls, you can see the difficulty says 9..... the thing is, when i take a pic of my tv, about half of it is dark, and half of it is a bright stripe.... as you can see it was bright where Anubis on the song wheel is.

Oh ok I see what you mean, I didn't even realize that Anubis hard is an 8. Either way though, NICE JOB, I hope my accuracy is close to being as good as yours some day riiight.gif

ITG's higher framerate/resolution, better arrows (models not sprites), etc. make it a lot easier to read, which gives the impression of going slower (DDR arrows jerk up the screen, especially at the arcade). If the default arrow spacing is different, it's a very small difference.

There is however a difference in scroll speeds neverthelss. DDR is slightly faster because the arrows are bigger, thus they have to travel a greater distance in the same time.

ITG's smaller arrow models make is scroll at slower speeds because it has to travel less distance in the same time.

I don't know that I'd call it an accomplishment per se, but I learned that shortly after 9PM is FAR from the optimal time for me to start playing energy-wise. Got a couple new scores anyway, but just "didn't have it" overall today.

Question for anyone paying attention: I seem to have hit a wall regarding FA; is this normal, and will I get through it with perserverance?

Yes it is normal and instead of going for FA just try playing/passing harder stuff for a while. Sometimes you get frustrated or whatever and just need to not focus so hard on getting better FA, and then when you've been ignoring that aspect for a little while you'll try again and be astounded at the results.

Depends on the player. I personally think Boogie Down is the hardest song in the game.

ddrmaniacaaa wrote:

I can pass most songs on Expert every time on ITG, however I usually fail more than half of the DDR songs I play on Heavy. DDR is too hard for me frown.gif

Holy crap hitler, you 100%ed the hardest song in the game!!! Go win nationals 06.

I usually fail most DDR songs also.

And 99.86% on My Favourite Game. And I call pad on 3 excellents, since only one was in both the runs combined, and the other three were all at random spots between 65% and 75%. I have a world record now, 99.96, or 99.97. But Ill be a good boy and not post that on groovestats until i actually gold flag it. (Or 100 it?)

I know I should be able to score just as well without C450 but i wanted to see how much better i would score on it with C450...

Pad miss but the dropped holds were me. could improve

Finally 98'd this

pad way off. Ive gotten sooooo much better at this song. I turned mines off and I used C450 since i havent played this song in such a long time.

this song is cake now. First time playing it in forever. But i know i could very easily 94-95 this song before summer is over if i figure out the crossover freeze parts. I nearly messed all those up.

This came as a very very big suprise to me. Im pretty sure i didnt drop the freeze but Im not going to blame it on the pad either.

Also got a 98.55 on LOTRS.
