I blame the massive suck on the fact that my lap is not a stable surface for the computer to rest upon.

Well, if I knew what OML stood for, I might be able to help.

I should post some of my edit scores complete with a link of the chart to show how tricky some are.

Wow. I downloaded that "Rhapsody" song, and a few other hard ones, and I was wondering, what do you play to get used to reading and playing at that speed?

its depends on your skill level, but id say start with duks delerium edit(the hard version without step jump runs) and quasar, then work on emerald sword for stamina(if you're index).

alright, thanks! I can AA quasar with single-digit greats, but i'll try the other 2.

Edit: Ah Nevermind. I found my problem. I have to learn to beat Quasar, without C400 E4.gif

Double Edit: I got it down to C200!

o, i didnt realize you were trying to read low speeds. I personally use high speed mods(general read speed about 800 bpm). You might also want to try uber rave.

I can't figure out what cmods do. What are they? I tried using one once and it didn't change the arrow speed.

CMods make a song scroll at a specific rate/bpm. For example, if you put c450 on Quasar, it will scroll at a constant 450bpm. If you put a c300 on Bloodrush, it will scroll at a constant 300bpm. Since CMods make a song scroll at a constant rate, there are no bpm changes throughout the song. (Another good example is Vertex^2. If you leave it on c450, the song will scroll at 450bpm, regardless of the 555bpm change in the song).

The CMods make the arrows/mines in a song scroll at a fixed speed. C300, for example, will scroll at the speed of a 300 BPM song, regardless of the actual song's BPM. The arrows/mines will appear more spaced or more dense depending on what the current BPM is supposed to be. Pauses are ignored and treated as blank space, unless a pause occurs during a hold, in which case the hold will be extended for the length of the intended pause.

You won't really notice the effects of CMods unless you play songs that have pauses or BPM changes in them. CMods were designed to make these songs easier (see: MAX. (period))

Or so I don't have to change speed mods every other song when I want the scroll to always be at least 600.

Quoted for truth, though I try to read at 500-550 personally.

Finally a pass. I really need to get decent at this whole SM thing.

Judge 6 explains that fact that I have like no MA. I could do (a bit) better on Judge 4.
