Pop'n Music in the US?

Now, for a classic stupid question from everyone's favorite stupid questionizer, me!
Is there a Pop'n Music game out for the PS2 in the US? Pop'n Music looks like a ton of fun, but I don't have a Japanese PS2.

You could just mod your ps2... it's cheaper than getting a japanese one.

The main reason I think that Pop 'n' Music MIGHT be in the works for a future US release is because the Pop 'n' controller works with Beatmania US. Therefore, one might conjecture that they were planning ahead for when Pop 'n' Music US arrives.

As much as I would love it, I doubt it'll come here. HOWEVER, seeing that DDR (& possibly Beatmania) is selling well & is popular, there's a little chance that we might. But don't hold your breath. After all, Guitar Hero is popular, & there's no news of Guitar Freaks coming over here. Mainly due to people thinking "OMG! A rip-off of Guitar Hero! Let's bash it!

Just remember. The game would have to appeal to fans of the JP version AND newcomers of the series. Like they did w/ Beatmania w/ songs like Toxic, You Really Got Me, & Virtual Insanity. Other than that, it's worth a shot.

If Konami didnt want to risk bringing in DDR originally because of it being "Too Japanese", just look at Pop'N Music. Just import the game, built a controler or buy one. PS2's arn't all that valuable anyway, who cares if you break it in an easy easy process of fliptopping? I Mean, its impossible to break it when putting on a fliptop.

I'm gonna have to agree. It's just too Japanese. Then again, Ouendan is coming over here....But what songs would they have on our version? You can't think of enough Americanese songs to go along w/ Pop'N. Sadly, I don't think enough Americanese people would buy it & enjoy it. (Unless they're big J-Pop fans. Like us on DDR Freak). As much as I want it over here, I just don't think it's gonna happen, sadly....
